With a pile of books in hand, Sookie made her way into the library without dropping a singe books which was an amazing accomplishment for her. Why she didnt bring a book bag, she couldnt know, but at least she made it inside. She placed the books down at the drop off counter and smiled at the little old librarian, who was as sweet as pie. Sometimes Sookie felt embarrassed checking out the books with hot romantic scenes on the cover hearing what the little old lady thought, but it was the least of her worries.
She walked over to the New Releases shelf, where they put out all the new books. There were two that caught her eye. One by this fella from the Fellowship of the Sun about how vampires were the devils work and needed to be exterminated. The other was by the blonde woman vampire always on TV defending the rights of vampires. Sookie could not help but laugh at the fact that both books were beside eachother. They should have been eating and attacking eachother with the content of hate from each book. She picked up the Vampire one and read the little book insert for a bit of an insight into the vampire world.

Kyle was not having the same problems as Sookie, he had entered the library enpty handed, but still looking for a few good books so sink his...teeth into...you know what he means. He had immediately went to the religion section first. MAYBE there would be a book on witchcraft or something that he hadn't read. If that section proved fruitless then he would go to the paranormal romance section. Maybe see if there was any Anne Rice or Kelley Armstrong or Stephanie Meyer.
The religion section in Bon Temps library seemed to be... a little bigger than most, but then again this town was a little more into religion than some others. Finding the right isle Kyle started heading towards the books, mildly surprised to see Sookie Stackhouse at the end of the isle, looking at the shelf of new releases. Maybe he should get to know Sookie? She was...dfferent, just like him.
He bypassed the religion section and headed for the new releases. He would introduce himself and if she blanked him, which he really didn't think she would do, then he could pass it off and look in the same section. That way he wouldn't look stupid. And...maybe there was a good book hidden among the other dreary new releases. "Good day Sookie" He said as he came to a stand still a little ways beside her.

Sasha had driven over from Shreeveport with the hopes that Bon Temps had some better books in their library. She browsed through the aisles of history books, only a few were about her true passion, art. Most of them contained well known facts about well known authors, nothing to cry over. But then a memory came to her head. She read about a new book that just came out... it dealt with conspiracy theories about many artists. She left the rows of dusty volumes in search of the New Releases section. She saw two figures standing to her right as she searched through all the newest fads; plenty of vampire books, memoirs of vampires, vampire stories, romance novels with a vampire twist. She glanced over and noticed a young woman standing near her and immediately noticed the two fang marks on her neck. "I know hunny, it feels amazing when they bite you." she thought to herself musing over a fellow fang banger. She felt her heel getting caught in her jeans and in trying to free it fell to the ground with a loud thump.

Sookie was a bit shocked as she was mid read and suddenly she heard someone say hello to her. "Huh, Hello there..." She said with a pause as she could not remember this man's name at all. Maybe she had met him in the bar, but the name must have slipped her mind. So, being the polite girl she was she just continued, "Checking out the new releases too!" Seeing as this was a library and during the day, Sookie felt no threats as to anyone being there bad.
Then another girl came up beside her and saw the marks on her neck, commenting on her bite marks. Sookie found this to be a bit strange. Two people, talking to her in the library...was this an ambush. It sure didnt feel like an ambush, that was for sure. "Umm, sure it does. But I only get bit from my boyfriend." She said in a kind of snoty tone, though not too mean.

Kyle sighed and looked down at the newcomer in mild distaste. She was obviously a fangbanger, emphasise on fang right now, if the womans state was anything to go by. Either she was weakened or her perceptions were impaired, but either way she was makign a spectacle of herself. But being a gentleman Kyle reached down to help the woman back to her feet. "Was thinking about it" He mumbled in answer to Sookie as he was bending down. It was the truth, he had been thinking of having a look at the new releases, he was just primarily wanting to say hello to the telepathic waitress. Get to know someone else who wasn't totally normal.

"Wait... How did you.....I didn't say that out loud." She said staring at Sookie. She suddenly felt uncomfortable. She took the strange boy's hand and rose to her feet. She could sense the hint of distaste in his tone, and in hers. As always, it seems like Sasha only fits in amongst the vampires. She figured she might as well introduce herself, it couldn't hurt their already poor impressions. " I'm not usually the type to fall over myself" She considered apologizing but decided she didn't do anything worth an appology. "I'm just a bit disoriented. I'm new around here, just moved into an apartment in Shreveport. My name's Sasha." She looked over at the book in the woman's hand. "It's a good one.. That book. It's written with real passion, the writing style is a little hard to get through. Very old fashioned, but I guess that's what you get when they author has been alive for hundreds of years" Sasha was trying hard to make Allies in this town, not enemies. You never know when you'll need a couple of good friends.

Sookie suddenly realized as she was lost in the book that the comment was not out loud, it was in the girls head. Seeing the girls reaction, Sookie knew it was a bit of a startle, how could she play it off? If even she could? Maybe they would ignore it, like many do. "Opps!" she said as the girl fell down and the boy beside her helped her up. Kinda clumsy, like Sookie can be sometimes! "Its alright. Welcome to Bon Temps Sasha." She said as she finished the inside cover of the book. "Im Sookie, Sookie Stackhouse. And yeah, the book seems a bit difficult. You would think the author would make it a bit more modern!" She said as she handed the book towards the boy that help Sasha up. "How about you? Whats your name?" Sookie was suprised at her new meeting of people at the little old library. But it was much better than making friends with a vampire nest!

Kyle took the book that was, basically, shoved at him and glanced at the title, immediately knowing that it wasn't his kind of read, but held onto it anyway. "Oh, me. Kyle Summers. I've seen you around Merlotte's a few times" He really wanted to talk to her about her...differences. He didn't really know anyone else, that was human, that knew about the...darker side of reality. But with Sasha here he really couldn't now could he.

Sookie smiled her famous smile. "At Merlotte's, I knew you looked kindly framiliar. I see so many people go in and out of there, its hard to remember everyone! Nice to meetcha Kyle!" She said as she now picked up the Fellowship of the Sun book. It had a feel of disgust. Such cult like people who claimed to live in the eyes of God. Sookie herself was godly, but she knew she sinned and knew that it was between her and God. Just be a good person was her way of things. "So, what kinda books do yall like?" she asked, trying to make conversation.

Kyle saw the look of disgust on Sookie's face when she looked at the title of the book and leaned over to peek at the cover himself. Oh... The Fellowship Of The Sun. Kyle really did not like those guys, they were like big biggoted bullies. Plus, being the overzealous godly types Kyle would not be high in their favour - a gay witch. Hah!
Kyle debated the answer to Sookie's question, he knew the answer, but he was wanting to test the rumours firsthand - could Sookie read his mind? He looked at her as he thought his answer at her, that was the only way he could describe it. Mostly paranormal romance. Stephanie Meyer...Kelley Armstrong... He thought simply, no use filling her head with too much, if she heard him that is.

Sookie was reading the cover as she heard something in her head, and it belonged to Kyle. As if he were thinking at her? Did he know? How? He must have believed the rumors and well they were true. "So, Stephanie Meyer? She writes those teen lusty vampire books huh?" she asked aloud as if it were just a question. But he would know for sure that she was talking to him. The Fellowship of the Sun book was not her fortay, but she did know to keep your friends close and enemies closer, so why not read it. But on the other hand, she did not want a thing to do with it.

Kyle smiled as soon as Sookie said 'Stephanie Meyer'. So, the rumours were true. Sookie was, well, more than human. Like him. It made Kyle feel better that he wasn't completely alone in that respect. Being a vampire was different than being a human with extra's. But Kyle carried on as if nothing paranormal had happened, aware that they still had company - Sasha.
"Yeah. Those 'teens lust vampire books'" He repeating, finding her summary funny, but accurate. "You read them? They're really good." He said, turning his head to indicate that Sasha was welcome in answering this question too. He may not be the most fond of the obvious fangbanger, but he was a nice guy. So he was including her too.

Sookie looked at Kyle, thinking that he must have known. But, considering all the things she had seen recently, a man knowing that she was more than human was not too concerning. Unless he was going to try and make her do something for him using her power, like everyone else. The Fellowship book was a bit of a load of crap, so she sat it back down. Looking over at Sasha, Sookie smiled. The girl seemed different, new to town for sure.
"I havent read them. I dont know. I might like them, but teen lustyness. Not my kind of thing!" She spoke softly, remembering the vampire lusty she partook in, these things were not for the young audience. Sookie was more on the adult side, with adult romance books or mysteries. Kind of the story of her life.
