BEWARE: SPOILER BELOW So I was reading through the third book when at the end, it said that Bubba was the one who killed Jerry Falcon and stuffed him in Alcide's closet. My question is: how was he able to do that? Since Bubba is a vampire, an Elvis Presley vampire, as it seems, he is not able to enter Alcide's apartment without permission and Alcide never even knew Bubba was following them around, so there was no way he could have given Bubba permission. Is there something in the later books that explains why Bubba was able to get in the apartment without permission?

Hummmmm *ponders* I never thought of that. I think he might have gone inside the apartment once or something, as per Sookie? I cant remember. But later in the books, there is no discussion of that, of Bubba being exempt. That I can think of. Im re reading them now, on book four...Ill look. But I cant recall. Hummm......

Yeah, I mean of course, Charlaine Harris is amazing, I just think it was a little tiny mistake, but I didn't know if maybe there was something that I did not know about. I do love Bubba though, exempt or not

Well, it does say that he had just a tiny flare of life left in him when he was turned...so maybe that could have something to do with it? I think I read that in the fourth book? Or at the end of the third? On a TV show note...Alan Ball, the creator, said he might not have Bubba cause Bubba works so well in the books to each persons imagination...having him in the show..an Elvis impersonator might lower the love of him by fans. When he said that, the crowd got all sad.

Yeah, maybe that had to do with it, the whole bit of life left, it did make him very dumb in the book. The show would be a little weird with a real impersonator, I was thinking about how they could do him justice. I think it can be pulled off for a real Sookie Stackhouse fan, but I wish they would try, he's great.

I've just read the 4th book and Sookie questions this, Pam answers her. If you want to know I'll tell you her reasoning.

Yeah, as I remember, because he's such like a (excuse my language) retarded vampire, he can do certain things that the others cannot. And I believe he could enter houses, I think I do remember that being mentioned...?
