Sookie was walking away when she heard a reply. She turned back to the man and listened. "Well, we got our first a little over a year ago. Since then they come in and out. I'm used to them, being that I date one!" she smiled her famous Sookie smile. "We are so close to Sherveport and Fangtasia, many come this way. And as you can see" she looked around the bar " some don't mind and some hate change. I'm sure you can meet some in the area!" She worried she had said too much, hoping he wasn't the hate human type and would start some kind of nest!

"Fangtasia..." Jack murmured. He had heard of the nightclub and considered venturing in many times, if just to greet the owner, as he heard they shared a similar history. He glanced back down at the bottle in front of him and nodded to himself. He would have to go there one night for a brief visit.
"Thank you kindly miss." He told the waitress, musing on her relationship with a vampire and how it must affect their lives. He wondered what Eric thought of it. Though Jack had never met him, he had heard stories of his personality, or lack there of.
He turned back to Ivory, who seemed a little taken back by his sudden change of questioning. "Oh, my manners, I do apologize!" He said with a smile. "I never meant to start a whole new conversation, it just, sort of, happened."
Jack slowly took a sip of his Tru Blood, grimacing a little as he was still adjusting to the taste. "Where were we?" He asked with a slight hum at the end.

Ivory smiled softly toward Sookie as she simply flicked the edge of the glass in thought; faintly listening to the conversation at hand between the pair. Not wishing to appear like she was indeed eavesdropping, her eyes wandered toward the other areas of the room despite the fact her hearing remained intact on such things. Fangtasia...Lips curling into a weak frown at this, the brunette covered it by sealing her lips over the edge of the glass; gently tasting the drink with joy. Finally, something cold! Blinking in a confused manner when she was suddenly directed, Ivory's eyes glanced toward Jack in an oblivious sense as her brows rose.
"Hm?" Gulping down the drink with a sudden motion, her smile formed weakly as she shook her head somewhat. "I don't mind" She murmured with a light laugh, trailing the rim of her glass in consideration as the liquid swirl ever so softly. Clearly amused at the fact he didn't seem to take to the True Blood to well, she couldn't help but bluntly offer out her juice to him. "So...you can't drink this stuff?" She inquired with some interest, chuckling as she drew it back into her clutches. Unable to actually consider things, many thoughts did enter her clouded mind as she bit upon the edge of the glass softly - a light dinging noise ringing from it as she did so.
Would it be rude to question certain things? Who knew to be precise, for the brunette wasn't the best with overall clearance of manners and such things. After all, she'd been brought up by the Mustow's. Though, why resist? Biting upon her tongue literally, Ivory placed the drink down before rubbing the back of her neck softly. "You ever bit a person like me?". Eyes wide, she couldn't' help but bit harder upon her tongue. At least she'd asked...

Glad that his social skills were not as bad as he thought Jack continued to drink his Tru Blood, feeling a little better for getting some food inside. The synthetic blood wasn't awful, and the fact that it was served warm was a bonus, cold blood was simply the worse, but there was something missing from the experience, the smells of a young scared woman, the taste of perfume mixing with the warm tinny taste of the crimson liquid. Each meal was different, now however he was stuck drinking the same stuff for an undisclosed time and the thought of it produced nothing but thoughts of boredom.
"No, unfortunately drinking or eating anything other then blood has some rather negative effects on a vampire's body." He said in a rather sad tone, trying to remember the taste of bread, cheese and fruit. His diet before his change was excellent, considering it was over a thousand years ago, and now he could barely remember what and apple tasted of. He could smell all he wanted but the smell was always secondary to the taste.
Then she asked something he had half expected but didn't actually think she would say out loud. This was a delicate area, should he reveal that he was a monster in the past she might think a lot less of him. But then of course he was a vampire, and in the past there was not the synthetic blood to drink.
He gazed at her for a moment, trying to recall a person similar to her, but then of course he usually preyed upon women for their sweeter taste and instantly he could think of several particular women he had fed from. "Yes..." He muttered back. How she would take this information was a mystery, perhaps she was a fangbanger and wanted Jack to bite her, then again she could just be curious about his taste in women. The vampire was being honest and open just as he promised, though he decided not to go into details. A simple affirmative was enough.

"It's a shame...orange juice is amazing" She giggled, dipping her finger into the concoction before popping it into her mouth gently, savoring the taste with joy. It was indeed something she enjoyed for the most half, and her yes clearly portrayed such a thing. Though, she felt such innocent flavor fade some what when his words reached her...head nodding weakly as she heard him. He'd said yes. Then again, he would obviously have said yes...which vampire wouldn't? There was just about a million stupid brunettes in the world with ivory skin, so it was such a simple thing to agree to probably. Nodding some what, she sighed. "Oh..."
Smiling weakly to try and relieve such shock from it, she simply centered her attention upon the juice. The sudden silence actually aided Ivory in feeling comfortable for once, smile continuously weak as her eyes darted around. "Do you miss chocolate?" She questioned bluntly, trying to change the subject carelessly as a foolish smile actually formed. Ah well.

The silence after his revelation of devouring other women like her was painful for the vampire. He had just met this girl and it seemed she had already cast judgment upon him as a monster, which admittedly he was, but that was in the past, this was a new beginning for him and he was on a drastic learning curve on what was and was not appropriate. Obviously informing people that he had tasted similar in the past was not a good idea and Jack mentally noted this for future reference.
But then she threw him a curve ball and changed the mood of the conversation totally. Jack wondered if had missed something as her question took him totally off guard. He blinked, a little confused, and smiled. "Er, no, unfortunately I never had the chance to taste chocolate when I was human." He replied. "We did not have such a thing where I was raised."
He sipped the Tru Blood and glanced at the patrons in the bar. A part of him mentally pointed out that he could easily murder everyone here in a flash but of course he kept such thoughts to a minimum.
"So, why did that man attack you? Was he an ex boy-friend or just a random thug?" Jack asked. "And would you like him dead?" He added, but in a different low muttering tone. Jack wondered if he actually said that out loud and suddenly realised he had. He looked shocked at his own outburst and quickly smiled to try cover his insane outcry as a joke.

"Really? Jesus..and I'm addicted to the stuff" She whispered in thought of her beloved object known as chocolate. Such a pretty source of sugar it was! Though, she felt her laughter ring out at his question when directing the young man. Shaking her head weakly, she felt the bruises upon her face actually pulse in pain at the memory. "No...no he's...not like that" She muttered quietly, not really getting to the point as she centered her attention upon the orange liquid before her in the glass cup. No...he wasn't. Frowning a little more, she felt her laughter grow quieter as she glanced toward him solemnly. Raising a brow as she matched his quiet tone, she leaned closer.
"You'd do that?" She murmured bluntly, rolling her eyes some what before resting her head upon her hands once more. "...No...I think that's Tyree's kill" She murmured with a chuckle, eyes dancing within the liquid before her as she tilted her head ever so softly. For some reason, Jack's smile only added to the fact that what he said was truthful. He would kill him. To imagine such things actually startled the brunette, but it failed to show upon her features as she kept her hands upon her head, the drink simply placed beside her as her sapphire gaze lingered from Jack's own gaze back to it. How interesting.
"He'll get what he deserves in his own time" she murmured with a toying smile, before shaking her head in truth. He would indeed...

Instead of shock and horror, she was actually interested in the offer he had made. It would be an easy task for someone as old as Jack, he could remember his foul scent from the night before and track him down with little effort. Killing would be the fun part, he had not tasted human blood for some time, perhaps it was time to take another drink. It would after all be the blood of a villainous man, and so there was some moral high ground, but he would still be murdering another.
But she was eventually against the idea, deciding that justice would find him eventually. Jack supposed Ivory believed in Karma. Perhaps he would find his way into trouble, but Jack was old enough to know that many people like that mugger would get away with their crimes without punishment. He took a long sip of his Tru Blood and considered going against her wishes.
"We can hope." Jack replied with a smile. "Well my offer stands..." Jack added with a sly grin. This time it was his normal side speaking, not the berserker part of him. "So tell me about your life, I know you work in a store, but what about you? What do you do with spare time?"

Laughing some what at the sly smile in which he portrayed so suddenly after the concept of killing the idiotic moo who happened to enjoy inflicting pain on Ivory on a familiar basis. "I'm sure he'll get what's coming to him...be patient" She murmured in amusement, chuckling some what as she downed the remainder of her drink ever so subtly. The taste stung the back of her throat some what, causing her to wince weakly before glancing back to Jack with an arched brow.
"...Spare time?" She murmured, actually going into deep thought over such a thing. Shrugging some what, she began examining her nails for no reason in particular. "I...draw? I don't have loads of spare time" She muttered with a feeble smile, trying to think of other things. "I read as well of course...but I think that's it...except for walking around" Ivory mused with a weak chuckle, glancing back toward Jack in minor interest. Not exactly enjoying the subject just upon her, the brunette's expression changed swiftly.
"So...where about are you staying?" Lids fluttering, her sapphire eyes simply surveyed him in thought.

It seemed odd to a man like Jack that a woman should be working for such a length of time. In his experience, mixing with the aristocracy of the past, the women did little to no work, save for needle work. But then times had obviously changed and being involved directly in society he was bound to learn new things. If anything she seemed disheartened at her lack of leisure time. Jack noted that perhaps she deserved better then what she had currently.
"Me?" He replied, a little shocked at the question. Did she not realise vampires needed to basically sleep in holes in the ground? He was staying in an old abandoned house on a forgotten road, in the cellar. It was hidden because it was a vampire house. No one really owned it, but those traveling through could stay the night. It was one of the nice elements about the vampire society. "I'm staying in a cellar, in a house not too far from here." He replied. "It's... quiet."
Jack lifted the bottle to his lips and drained the contents until it was empty. He liked the thick blood build up from his top lip and smiled. It felt a lot better to be full and energised.
It had been a while since the two met and Jack had to ask a question to get it out of the way. He had to be sure of who she was. "Look... I need to ask something..." He paused considering whether it was wise to come out and ask so soon. "...Are you a fangbanger?"

Just noticing her lack of hobbies actually forced Ivory to fall into some thought. Despite dabbling in her Father's little drug offers...there was clearly nothing to the brunette that was interesting. This of course, caused a deep set frown to almost crawl and scratch its way onto her delicate features. Emphasis on the almost. Pawing at the end of her nose in habit, rather similar to the sense in which a cat would do so - Ivory found her brows arching all the more in keen interest to Jack's words. Full of surprises was indeed a term used in a lacker sense. "Don't you think it's creepy being in a cellar? Those things give me the shudders" She murmured in blunt truth, throwing him a lop sided smile as she shuddered visibly. In truth, whenever she was sent to collect the lower crates from the storage unit, Ivory would always have her trusted mutt at her side; along side a stupid kitchen knife and one of the brightest torches money could by. After all the horror movies she had watched? You couldn't be to prepared for anything that could jump out and go RAWR!
Gently stretching her arms in a careful manner, the brunette's brows rose all the more as she watched him curiously. "Ask away" She murmured after lowering her arms, leaning back into the comfort of the booth chairs in a pleasant sense. Dusting at her nose once more, she actually felt her eyes snap wide in faint disgust, brow twitching in irritation. Staring at him in faint disbelief, she found herself recovering after some silence. In a sense, it was lucky to the fact she still wasn't drinking that juice...otherwise the spillage wouldn't have been to pleasant. "Hell no" She said instantly, her eyes growing all the more wider. Just to imagine...no. No!
"I've got some self respect" She boasted in clear defiance, voice faintly louder out of shock within the situation. Still, a heat flush flooded her face as she shook her head in embarrassment all the more. "N-no...do I look like one?" She inquired quite sharply, frowning some what. Now if that was the issue, then she'd hide in shame. Great.

Jack shook his head. "No, it's not that bad, once you get used to it. Plus if you're rich enough you usually sleep in a cosy coffin." He said with a smile. Of course Jack was rich enough to afford a comfortable coffin through simply holding onto money throughout the years and letting it gain interest. But the problem was transporting such an object around quietly and without raising so many questions, of course times had changed so perhaps he should own a travel coffin. He smiled at the thought.
Her clear displeasure at his question made Jack very happy. He so hated fangbangers, all they wanted was attention and to be in a position of service. It made Jack a little ill at the thought, humans, traditionally were food, but now they were equals to vampires, politically anyway. He had seen human vampire relationships between someone who was a fangbanger and it was simply disgusting, the fangbanger would be groveling and hanging on their every word. It wasn't a relationship it was slavery.
"Sorry for asking, it's just... well most people, when I tell them I am a vampire, usually make some excuse to leave or become imensly interested in sex." He said with a shrug. "So I was just making sure, that's all."
He was hoping she wouldn't leave now, especially as he had made a possible social mistake.

"No...not to be rude to them" She murmured in admission toward those who called themselves Fang Bangers, her eye rolling some what in minor disgust in a sense. "It's icky" She said simply, that side of her innocence actually prevailing when her head nodded; eyes gleaming in an uncomfortable sense as she smiled weakly. Toying with the hem of her shirt as she glanced down, she felt her heart hammer some what when a familiar voice echoed its goodbyes around the bar. He'd been there...the whole...time? Trying not to show any emotion toward such a thing when she stretched; glancing over her shoulder in a sly manner only to confirm it was indeed him - Ivory plastered a vast grin onto her face and completely ignored everything screaming at her to hide. "Another drink?" She inquired with a gentle laugh, leaning back all the more. "I'll buy" She offered quietly, rummaging around the depths of her pockets in a new found rush for reasons only she knew.
Still, having found the money she threw whatever she had on the table, tilting her head. "I can buy three more if you like" She murmured, proud with the change lingering in the depths of her pockets. You'd never know what you'd find.

From what it looked like to Jack, Ivory seemed to be wanting to escape from his company. She was fidgeting in her seat and seemed to grow very nervous. He never should have said those words, now she was going to leave him alone. It would dash his hopes of trying to rejoin mainstream society, if he couldn't hold a decent conversation for more then ten minuets.
"It's fine, I have plenty of money to buy..." He stopped in mid sentence, suddenly aware. His nostrils flared and he realised what it was that was bothering Ivory. He tensed and he slowly looked up from the table to see the thug. His eyes locked on the sight of the man who had caused Ivory harm. It was unjust and unfair that this man was getting away with his crimes without punishment, where as Ivory suffered.
The rest of the world seemed to fade out of his consciousness as Jack stared at the man with furious eyes. His hand grasped the empty bottle and his grasp tightened around it. The glass began to crack under the immense strength and Jack rose from his seat. "Excuse me." He muttered, his eyes still locked on the thug as he left the bar.
The thug walked through the door and Jack slowly walked after, ignoring the rest of the world around him, his focus was locked on bringing punishment to the man who had assaulted Ivory. He stepped outside into the warm night, the moon hung high in the sky and the insects that hovered around parted as Jack walked through them. All around him was the air was full of rage and anger, he was slowly losing control.
The thug walked up to a poor looking car, patches of rust covering the panels and turning the colour from red to a dull orange. He fiddled with a set of keys and groaned out loud. "d**n keys... never find the right ... ah!" He grinned as he pulled out the right car key and held it up to his eye line.
"Excuse me." A voice started from behind. The man turned around and, in a very aggressive manner said, "What?" Jack snarled and grabbed the man by the throat. The man thrashed and screamed as he was lifted from the floor by Jack's one hand. His fangs grew and his eyes burned with a fire that few had ever seen to talk about after. "Remember me?" Jack asked. The man shook his head as much as could in Jack's tight grip and gasped for air. "You attacked a friend of mine." Jack said through gritted teeth as his grip tightened even further. The man coughed and struggled to breathe.
"Well I don't think I can allow that to happen again." The vampire lowered the man and with both hands, he held his neck open to be bitten. The man shook with fear as Jack slowly opened his mouth, revealing his fangs, and savored every moment of fear in this man's body, waiting to bite.

The sudden change in Jack's manner did indeed strike Ivory off guard, her brows arching in a faintly scarce way as his eyes seemed to focus on something else. Frowning suddenly when things began to piece together, she found her eyes gazing over and then back to Jack with some haughty defeat. However, the bottle cracking made her lips snap shut into a firm; delicate line - sapphire eyes finally growing wide. Now, it was a guess of common sense that it wasn't natural for someone or something to do that so randomly, correct? Her fears building weakly, Ivory went to speak only for Jack to cut her off within an excuse me. The fact eyes seemed to follow him as he left made her heart hammer all the more. Was there a reason her stomach was somersaulting nervously, or was it just a sign? Noticing a faint silence drifting around the bar in an eerie and suspicious manner, Ivory found her thumbs twiddling all the more as she allowed her knees to bounce. She couldn't just sit there.
Standing swiftly and walking out as if nothing had bothered her to be honest, she smiled softly to those she passed before rushing herself out the door with a quick shove. Door slamming behind her, the snow skinned girl stumbled out and searched the parking lot in sever wish to find where the hell they'd gone. Her heart hammered all the more quicker in fear at the aspect of something bad happening, and only she knew for some reason it would. Omens seemed to linger within Ivory's world more often then people. Bad omens to say the least. Running quickly when she heard a strangled yell, her form stumbled before turning the corner.
Horror filled her eyes as she glared solemnly, running forward with that stupidity that run in her family. "GET OFF HIM!" She screeched, making it fully aware to the world something was wrong. Before she realized it, the petite girl had jumped upon Jack's back in a feeble attempt to stop him, hands covering his eyes quickly in hopes to stop whatever was happening. Even if the thug would die, she couldn't have such a thing on her mind...she couldn't know. "Let go" She snapped firmly, tone strong despite that clear fear trembling on her words as she attempted to distract the situation all the more. The thug's skin had shot a delicate white under Ivory's eyes, her gaze lingering on his pain filled face weakly. Still no solution, Ivory mad sure to keep herself secure to Jack's back as she smacked his head. "JACK, GET OFF!" Jesus, what a heroine. Then again, sarcasm was always a funny source of prime amusement.
