"Tell me about it. Everywhere I go, I keep sensing darkness which is weird. This town seems to be high in supernatural occurances," Kimberly said shuddering at the thought.
"Yeah, that's right actually. Three is a number of great power according to legends. I'm so having a blonde moment for not realizing it," Kimberly laughed and did a palm-face gesture when Kyle mentioned the power of three.
"I have a lot of my grandmama's spell books at home. When she passed recently, she left them all to be and I ain't had time to go through them yet. There must be tons of good spells there that we could use." Kimberly offered. She had taken Grandmama Deveraux's passing hard and hadn't even looked at anything she had left her but this seemed like the right time to unpack those boxes.

"Sure! That sounds great!...If you don't mind sharing them with us, they were your grandmothers, I can understand if they're a bit...personnal" He was excited at the prospect of practising with others like himself and learning new magicks, but if Kimberly didn't want to share he wouldn't force her. "My grandmother has taught me about witchcraft and magicks ever since I moved here, just over half a decade ago, but now I'm starting to branch out and go my own way, you know?"

"I'm sorry to hear that, about your grandmother"
Brandy listened to the two talk back and forth, she was pretty quiet herself. Guess that could of made her the hands. Kyle, she saw more as the body. Kim was the mind. Or maybe it was the heart, the body, and the mind. Brandy wasn't sure. She didn't know why she was thinking about that anyway.
Brandy couldn't relate to them, she wasn't that close to family.
(ooc: I personally 'boo' myself with that post. Mind is drawing a blank)

"My grandmama would like me to share them with you. Hoarding them to myself would be selfish and unsouthern," Kimberly said, moved by Kyle's offer. It was going to be weird seeing her books used by someone else but it was for the greater good.
"Wow, is your grandmama a witch as well?" She asked with eyes glued to Kyle when he started to speak of his grandmama. Maybe his grandmama knew hers.
"I understand, I wanted to go solo for a long time but she never even let me entertain the notion of that. Now, I guess I can finally try all the things I wanted to try that I couldn't before," she said, nodding to Kyle.
"Brandy, you're being awfully quiet. Is everything alright?" Kimberly asked of the dark-haired woman who had been silent for awhile. It didn't seem natural as the woman came off as really chatty.

"Yeah, my grans a witch too. She gave me my first books when I was a kid. I saw hers and took an interest, so she started getting me some for my birthdays and stuff. Then...I moved in with her when my parents died. It's been the two of us since, and she's been teaching me ever since." HE failed to mention that it was vampires that killed his parents, but then again, that piece of info was irrelevant. Individuals killed them, not the species.

Oh. You know, she couldn't help to keep on growing attached to Kim. Something about that girl just made you feel like you mattered. Brandy smiled softly and nodded toward her.
"Yeah. It is. I just can't really include myself in your conversation, I'm not really that close to my family."
Brandy was silent again, and then Kyle began to talk about his grandmother again. She didn't want to bring the conversation down, especially when Kyle and Kim had so much in common.

"Wow, your grandmama sounds awesome Kyle. Taking care of you like that when you're parents died." Kimberly said with a soft voice. This young man had obviously gone through a lot in his life and she glad she was getting to know him.
"Yeah. It is. I just can't really include myself in your conversation, I'm not really that close to my family."
"Aww, of course you can. No ones family is perfect, mine certainly isn't but I don't let them define me. Besides there are different types of families; there's the typical one with mama, daddy and kids but there's the kind made up of friends. Me and Kyle can become a part of your family, if you want?" Kimberly asked, hoping she had made any sense at all. She really liked this outspoken witch and hoped she wouldn't be offended by her offer.

"Thanks" Kyle said softly, slowly drifting his thoughts away from his parents and their deaths. It is how it is, no point dwelling on it or anything.
Me and Kyle can become a part of your family, if you want Kyle eyes widened, huh? What? He should really pay attention more to the conversation around him, lest he be left confused. Like now. He kept his mouth shut, not knowing what to say in response. Maybe Brandy will clarify it when she spoke.

Brandy looked at Kim, and then looked at Kyle as she wrapped her arms around herself. It wasn't that Kim's offer wasn't genuine, it was just.. well, Kyle seemed so standoffish toward her lately. Like he was upset at her about something she had no control over.
"Your offer is very sweet Kim. But I'll have to decline. It's not family I really need right now.. "
At least she had companionship. That was nice, she would probably be really lonely if she hadn't. Kyle thanked Kim but didn't say anything else which meant he probably hadn't been listening to anything else going on.
"Right.. so.. how much further is your house?"
Nothing like a change of subject to get the ball rolling right?

"Nonsense. Everyone needs a family of some kind. Look, we are the only witches around, at least I think so, and we should stick together. Vampires, shifters...ect have their own groups, we need one as well." Kimberly said mock-sternly. She wanted Brandy to realize that they indeed were already entwhined together, by magic.
"Kyle, don't you agree? Stay together and stand tall or fall when divided." Kimberly asked the boy, who was currently deep in thought. She could not read his expression which puzzled her a bit.
"Right.. so.. how much further is your house?"
"Not long at all. If you guys are hungry, there is some lasagne al forno in the freezer that I can heat up. It's my nanny's receipe and crazy good." Kimberly laughed, hoping to cheer up the suddenly somber mood of the group.

"Well, when you put it like that, yeah, it does sound better if we stand together and all. It jsut caught me unawares when you asked, I mean, we've only just met. It was...unexpected..." He said, trailing off.
He still followed the blond with towards her house, not having the heart to tell her that he wasn't one for lasagne. he didn't want to put another dampener on the mood.

Well, Brandy couldn't argue with that. As far as she knew, they were the only three witches in Bon Temp's. And like Kyle had mentioned earlier - there was something magical in three's. Vampires, Shifters and Werewolves - they had their own packs and they stuck to them, there was no reason why Brandy should pass up on this opportunity.
"Kyle, don't you agree? Stay together and stand tall or fall when divided."

Kyle's words had stewed up thoughts in Brandy. It sounded like something Sam would of said to her, before they started getting so involved. Brandy was the one guilty of rushing into things, and she looked at Kyle thoughtfully.
"Not really that unexpected. If you don't move quickly the world will pass you by my friend"
Her smile was reassuring as she gave Kyle a pat on the back and returned her attention back to Kimberly.
"Lasagna sounds just wonderful."

"I don't mean we'll be all happy little families at this instant, I mean us to form a witch family, one that looks out for each other. We've all just met but I have a good feeling about this," Kimberly said, almost glowing. She had always been a positive thinker and just refused to be negative, especially about something this important.
"Not really that unexpected. If you don't move quickly the world will pass you by my friend"
"Well said Brandy. I totally agree with you there." Kimberly said smiling from ear to ear. She really liked this woman, this witch. Brandy had such an amazing attitude about life, Kimberly was almost jealous of her about that.
"Lasagna sounds just wonderful."
"Oh it is. My nanny Sophia was a Sicilian immigrant and cooked the best Italian food ever. I'm only a novice in the art of Italian cuisine but her receipes are amazing." Kimberly said beaming with pride. She so adored cooking.

Well, guess Kyle was outnumbered two to one. So, then it must be a good idea for them to be a 'witch family' as Kimberly put it. It did sound good, having other witches he could talk to and stuff, who'd be there if he got himself in a pickle. "Well, when you put it like that having a witch family sounds nice" He conceeded.
"I'm sure they are. I find that all foreign food are nicer than the ones here. All we have here is chips and fast food. But, sadly, I'm not the biggest fan of cheese..." he said, wanting her to know so she knew why he wouldn't be trying any of this delicious lasagne. *Shudder*

Happy little families? Brandy couldn't help to smile at that thought - it was quite the thought. A witch family, a coven, sounded more like the three. A chance for them to be able to call one another when needed for more.. magical ways.
After her after comment about family and life passing you by, she seemed to be more excited now about the whole idea. Never a better time such as the present right?
Well said Brandy. I totally agree with you there."
Brandy smiled warmly, reaching for Kimberly's arm she took the opportunity to hook her arm around hers. She was eager to see what Kimberly's place looked like, after all - she lived in a duplex and.. yay - food!
"Oh it is. My nanny Sophia was a Sicilian immigrant and cooked the best Italian food ever. I'm only a novice in the art of Italian cuisine but her recipes are amazing."
"Well what are we waiting for? I'm starving! And I never pass up the opportunity for some free food. Let's go before I start eating my own hair or something.."
