"Oh for sure, he made a good 'Doc' but I was kinda sad when he fell so hard for that Asian woman. Him and Emilio, I am beginning to think I have a thing for blond hair and those baby blues" Summer smiled at the last part, Brandy was obviously implying Sam Merlotte here. Summer felt a twinge of envy, not because he was interested in Brandy and not her. But envy of having a special someone in your life. It had been years since, well she didn't like to think about that. Not on a night where they were supposed to be having fun.
Aww, don't drink yourself too silly Summer, I'm not sure I could carry you home and hangover's can be killers!"
"Don't worry bout me" Summer grinned, "I can handle myself." Summer knew she'd regret it in the morning if she went overboard. She feared becoming her mother and all that entailed. It was just a night out, Summer reasoned with her conscience. Though she knew it was just a matter of time before it was pop back up again to haunt her.
"Are you sure you don't want at least one dance? I am sure there must be one guy out there that catches your fancy? And even if not, I got up there once so now its your turn"
"If they play songs I like, I'll dance and then it'll be hard to prise me off the dancefloor." Summer pondered the second question. There really wasn't anyone at all that met her criteria. That was depressing. "I wish" Summer sulked, "I've been on my own for about 3 years. Well there was one guy, but he was a headf*ck and I am well rid of him." she paused for a moment to think back to her one and only real love. She missed him every single day and if she could bring him back she would. But that was impossible, Summer had to live on without him, no matter how painful it was or how lonely she felt.

"Don't worry bout me"
"I can handle myself."
Brandy looked distraught, and had put her hand on Summer's shoulder.
"But that is what friends do Summer, they worry about each other. Pick each other up when they are feeling down, you know - all that sappy $hit"
Brandy laughed at herself, the drinks were getting to her and she was happy to be there. An emotional high that she planned on keeping all night.
"If they play songs I like, I'll dance and then it'll be hard to prise me off the dancefloor."
Actually she was surprised that they even played the song she liked. It was a rare 50's song that had been remixed for a movie. It must of been a request.
"I've been on my own for about 3 years. Well there was one guy, but he was a headf*ck and I am well rid of him."
Oh, Brandy knew what that was like all too well. Her's hadn't been quite that long, she had only been gone from home for about a month now. Hopefully he had forgot about her, she didn't exactly tell him she was leaving.
"I know the feeling, if you could of known Derek I don't think you would of liked him in the slightest..."

"But that is what friends do Summer, they worry about each other. Pick each other up when they are feeling down, you know - all that sappy $hit" Summer really had no idea what to say to that. She'd not really had a friend, like a real honest true friend in as long as she'd been single. Being on the road has it's disadvantages.
Brandy had also not breathed a word of there little encounter earlier. The encounter of the naked variety, having to explain that was unbelievably awkward. Summer was thankful for this and for it not being a topic of conversation. That was another time and another place sort of conversation.
Brandy contemplated everything Summer said and spoke up. "I know the feeling, if you could of known Derek I don't think you would of liked him in the slightest..." Summer raised an eyebrow at that. She wouldn't have liked him. Her curiosity was now ignited. "Oh really?" she almost had a smile on her face. Not at Brandy's pain, but that she was sure Summer wouldn't like her ex.

It was strange that just the other day she had seen Summer quite naked, and change from a werewolf right in front of her eyes! Anyone else would of been panicking at that moment and scared out of their minds, but not Brandy. In fact, Brandy had been more concerned with the fact she had a paint-ball sized faded bruise right on her ass.
She still didn't know why Sam felt the need to slam her with one when they were on the same team!
"Oh really?"
Oh, right. That was her cue to talk about him. She wasn't sure if she really wanted to, part of her was afraid that if she did - somehow it was like an invitation to come and find her.
"Yeah. Him and I , well he is a bit older than I. But we got together, he was a really nice guy at first and a witch like me. But, he started to let the magic corrupt him and he wanted it to corrupt me as well. He was starting to get violent... I could hardly recognize him anymore. So, like any insensible thing to do.. I turned into a wimp and just ran."
She didn't even tell him.
"I had no chance. He is more powerful than me, and the darkness that had consumed him.. I couldn't be with someone like that.

Brandy began to pour her heart out about this mysterious and potentially dangerous guy she used to date. Summer listened attentatively.
"You weren't a wimp. Don't ever think that." Summer spoke up when Brandy was finished. "I know what it's like to be consumed by someone who seems to only want to mindf*ck you. You have to think of yourself and if he was as bad as you say...." Summer trailed off hoping Brandy would know what she was trying to say. She reached over for her hand to give it a gentle squeeze.
"No downies." Summer said with a huge grin. "We're here to have fun. Want something from the bar other than a margerita?" Summer asked, nodding over towards it. "Free tab baby!"

"You weren't a wimp. Don't ever think that."
Brandy noticed the song change, one that she recognized because she loved the band. Evanescence - All that I'm living for. It had a catchy beat.
The ghosts are gaining on me.
. "I know what it's like to be consumed by someone who seems to only want to mindf*ck you. You have to think of yourself and if he was as bad as you say...."
She nodded reassuringly. Stay away. Oh she had every plan too. There was no way he could ever find her, not in Bon Temps. She was good to cover up her path, and as Summer put her hands reassuringly on her she had smiled.
"No downies."
Oh. Right, they were here to have fun!
We're here to have fun. Want something from the bar other than a margarita? Free tab baby!"
Brandy grinned, and motioned the waitress over.
"Pina Colada babe, and make it with an extra cherry!"

Brandy seemed to take in everything Summer said. Which was good, last thing she wanted was for her, anyone else for that matter, to go through what she did with Dale. Summer shrugged out of the bad memory when Brandy called over the waitress and ordered in a Pina Colada.
"Ooh, I'll have ah...." she paused running through all the drinks she could think of to have. "vodka and lemonade please...oh in fact make it a double." she smiled to the pretty waitress.
"So....Sam and you huh." she grinned mischeviously.

"Ooh, I'll have ah.... vodka and lemonade please...oh in fact make it a double."
Looked like Summer may of been crawling home, Brandy made it a point in her head to call a taxi ahead of time - to be waiting for them when the club closed.
She did this, off to the side, and then turned her attention back to Summer just in time for her to ask her next question.
"So....Sam and you huh."
Brandy's cheeks, though you had to look a little harder to notice due to the darker skin, had flushed pink. She nodded, and as the waitress came back with their drinks she had eagerly reached for the cherries first.
"Yeah. Sam and I. Well, I.. it's like I've known him all my life. And, I know its weird and I can't really speak for him but.. I really feel that he needs me in his life now."
She paused, and chewed on one cherry before moving on to another. She just loved those sugared cherries!
"I think us meeting each other, was.. fate."

"Yeah. Sam and I. Well, I.. it's like I've known him all my life. And, I know its weird and I can't really speak for him but.. I really feel that he needs me in his life now." Summer smiled and her keen Were eyes sensed the slight flushing of BB's cheeks. "Well, I'm happy for ya. Really I am. I know I don't know you or him that well, but everyone deserves someone special to share there life with."
"I think us meeting each other, was.. fate." Summer raised an eyebrow. "I don't hold too much to the idea of fate." she tried to hold her sadness inside.

"You know Summer, I know its not the same, but in a way you and I are sharing our lives together. So are you and your boss, and everyone you have ever met. You are never entirely alone, it is all an adventure"
There she went, ever the wordsmith.. the word-smith that was enjoying the sweetness of coconut and pineapple. Boy, were pina-colada's just delicious!
"I don't hold too much to the idea of fate."
"Well then, maybe try holding on to the idea that everything happens for a reason. Maybe fate isn't a good word, but everyone we meet - good or bad, affects our lives somehow. Even if it is just for a fleeting moment. Whatever this all is, fate or just a moment, I'm glad I get to spend some of it with you"
And the fact that Summer was secretly a werewolf? Hell, that just made Brandy even more blessed to know her!

"You know Summer, I know its not the same, but in a way you and I are sharing our lives together. So are you and your boss, and everyone you have ever met. You are never entirely alone, it is all an adventure" Summer mulled over her words and the image of Summer sharing her life with her boss made her laugh out loud. She waved an apology, she was slowly starting to feel the intoxication of the nights alcohol. "Sorry..sorry. Just had the silliest of visuals there."
Summer was on the verge of explaining the hilarity inducing visual. But the more she thought about it, the more she giggled. Alcide was a great guy and good looking with it. But he was her boss and the thought of it amused her.
"Well then, maybe try holding on to the idea that everything happens for a reason. Maybe fate isn't a good word, but everyone we meet - good or bad, affects our lives somehow. Even if it is just for a fleeting moment. Whatever this all is, fate or just a moment, I'm glad I get to spend some of it with you" Summer's laughter ceased. BB was serious and despite the effect the alcohol was having, she still had most of her wits about her. Her last sentence made Summer flush a little and that took a lot to do.
"Oh...wow. I uh...I'm really touched and flattered B. You don't mind me callin' ya B eh?" Summer rambled a little veering off the point she wanted to make. "I've seemed to have more bad influences than good. The good all seem to get taken from me one way or another." Summer felt her eyes welling up and fought to resist it. "It's been a while since I've let my guard down enough to call anyone friend." Summer smiled and pointed towards BB "that's your fault" she started to giggle again.

"Sorry..sorry. Just had the silliest of visuals there."
Brandy had shaken her head, she was just glad that Summer was having a great time with her. It was nice to see the pretty woman laugh and let loose a bit.
"Oh...wow. I uh...I'm really touched and flattered B. You don't mind me callin' ya B eh?"
Brandy shook her head, she didn't mind at all.
"I've seemed to have more bad influences than good. The good all seem to get taken from me one way or another."
Brandy frowned at this, she was determined to be the 'permanent' good influence in Summer's life. But Brandy could relate, Derek <used> to be a good influence, until he let himself be corrupted.
But, back to her thinking everything happened for a reason - if he hadn't turned she would of never ran away, and she would of never met Sam or Summer. Or anyone she liked.
"It's been a while since I've let my guard down enough to call anyone friend. that's your fault"
At this, Brandy had rose her hand with a grin.
"Guilty"
Finally the music was changing again, "living on a prayer" by Bon Jovi. She wondered if Summer would dance, or if she should go up and request a song just for her.
"Come, I want to dance soon. Name one song you want, and I'll go request it for us"

Summer felt a little more relieved to have opened up a little bit more to Brandy. She felt a special connection, in a platonic way she'd never really felt before. Growing up girls either hated Summer or were intimdated by her. Just one of the many pains of growing up Were, she thought. But here was this witch, who accepted her warts and all. It felt nice, comforting.
"Come, I want to dance soon. Name one song you want, and I'll go request it for us" Brandy spoke up over the music. Suddenly it dawned on her, what the song was. A huge grin plastered all over Summer's face. "No need." she reached out her hand to her new friend. "Wanna dance?"

At the mention of the dance, Brandy had perked up. It might take a bit of help to get Summer on the dance floor but Brandy was sure ready to dance! Bon Jovi had one of the sexist voices ever - in Brandy's opinion, so it would be easy to pick up the beat.
In a moment, both of the two were on the dance floor. Surrounded by couples, groups of girls - and guys - and even a couple of midgets! It was a little funny but Brandy tried not to giggle (hey - little legs! It was cute!) so she distracted herself by looking at Summer.
Looking at Summer with a grin, and then just 'doing' her thing. She was glad they didn't 'dancey' up the song, she would of guessed Summer probably would of been irritated by that. It was in that moment, that Brandy turned her head slightly to the side.
She was getting a strange feeling in the pit of her stomach.
It probably was just the alcohol.

Summer strutted onto the dancefloor, like she owned it. Huge grin on her face and her long hair swishing and swaying behind her. Her favourite band, though not her favourite song. But it was awesome nonetheless. She was singing along with every word, dancing surprisingly well considering her inebriated state. The fringes on her dress shimmying along to the beat.
Summer looked all around the dancefloor, not really taking too much notice of anyone. That is until she spied two little people, midgets whatever you want to call them. Summer grinned and tried to catch Brandy's eye. "Look!" she squealed with a hyper giggle. "Hobbits!"
