Eric Northman walked with a certain bravado into Merlotte's. He had had an awful week and being mean to people made him feel just a tad bit better so he had decided to pay Merlotte's a little visit.
He sat down and in mock interest started browsing through the menu. There were nothing that tickled his tastebuds on the menu, so instead he was people watching. For someone he could take advantage of tonight.
He had noticed the blonde bar owner glaring at him which Eric ignored. The little shifter didn't intimidate him and he just sent an arrogant wink back to the man.
Nothing was going to stop him tonight. Not even Sookie. He was here to destroy something precious, like something precious had been taken from him. He had a preference tonight; he wanted a petite blonde, almost similar to the woman he lost several centuries ago.
So for, none of the humans matched the description. But he had all night and this time, he would take his time.

The night had been "interesting" to say the least, yet she didn't want to go home. If Haylee were, there was no guarantee that she could sleep. At least by going to Merlotte's, she could have some atmosphere. That could hopefully wind her energy down, then again; she was overdressed. "Ugh," Haylee muttered and shook her forehead as she reminded herself of something. It would only be for a minute, or maybe for more then "two" minutes.
So, she didn't need to care all to bad, if anyone got on her case. Besides, Haylee then figured that Merlotte's was for everyone that wanted to be there. Like she told Sam, it felt "homey" and so, the "lady in red" had confidently waltzed in. She really needed to have more confidence on a few things, but that's a different story. Haylee swiftly went for a booth that looked free, finally; time to relax!

Eric watched a young, pretty girl walk into Merlotte's. She was blonde, perky and could pass for Scarlett if one didn't look hard enough. Perfect.
He watched her walk into an empty booth and studied her curiously. She was human and probably very young, maybe 20 or even younger. She looked only a year or so older than Scarlett had been when she was turned.
Eric sipped his tru blood, his plan falling into place. Just hope Sookie wouldn't be here tonight to ruin everything. This girl was his way to feeling better tonight.
He locked eyes with the woman and sent her his most dashing, toothy smile.

Come to think of it, she hadn't really looked at the menu all to extensively. Ironic being that she worked here! Well, come to think of it, plenty of people may work somewhere and still be in the dark about a few things. To be fair, she had just started here; recently in fact. Perky fingertips scanned the menu, although Haylee couldn't focus. As it felt like someone had been staring at her, a eyebrow slowly perked to this. Perhaps it was just her imagination. Before long, the pondering had driven her bonkers and placed the menu down. Just in time to lock eyes with someone, a vampire! Well, it could be a mistake, Haylee figured and took a peak behind her, only to find no one.
With that noted, she kind of chuckled to being shown attention. It was weird, even. For a vampire; he was extremely dashing. It would be nice if this situation had came with a rulebook, or even a self-help notion of some kind. It seemed like vampires were almost anywhere, not just at a bar; but in normal places too. Hmm, her cheeks felt warm. In fact, she felt puzzled; Stan was... a looker too- though she never really flushed before. Oh, well; maybe it was because she had been stared at. "It's not nice to stare." A polite, southern note, or maybe sass. She tried to look at her menu, to mind her own business.

"It's not nice to stare."
"I would imagine someone as beautiful as yourself would be accustomed to being stared at." Eric said with his voice smooth. She had sass, he liked that in a woman.
Without asking her permision to come sit with her, Eric joined her at the booth quickly. After all, why waste time.
"My name is Eric. And I haven't been able to take my eyes off of you since you arrived," he said, clearly flirting this time. Eric was certain she knew by now that he was a vampire and was happily suprised that she didn't seem to be afraid of him.
If he felt bad using this young woman to make his demons go away, he certainly didn't look it. He kept his steely blue eyes transixed on the young blonde.

A dashing vampire, with a smooth voice? Haylee thought about her observation, while her imagination was elsewhere. It should spell something, along the lines of: D-A-N-G-E-R! Or for her to look out, something had to be wrong! Perhaps it was going to far, as previously: She had been within Fangtasia. Surrounded by vampires and humans alike, it was a little hard to tell whom is whom. Though, she still had a sense of fear within her brain; still needed to make up how she felt about "THEM." Haylee's fingertips were idly playing with a small card, that belonged to Fangtasia. Especially when answering the statement, the stranger had made. "Not really." A terrible liar, though her tone was the same as before. Polite, with a hint of southern-sass. Though, she was trying to be humble! She was a awkward flirt, as well; maybe it was because she was naive. [To a degree].
Come to think of it, she looked to be in thought. Like trying to recall his name, this moment was ironic. As nothing came to mind, when introducing herself to him. "My name is Haylee." Well, to be fair, she had been complimented and she had yet to answer for it. "Thank you, though it's still not polite to stare." Well, usually it was a compliment for a compliment and blinked when laying her fingertips to rest. "You have a nice..- Trailing off for a moment, wondering what to put there? That didn't sound, well-lame. "Smile." That would have to do. Guiding her eyes back to the menu, hoping no one would make fun of her for this.

Eric read the body language of the blonde fairly well. She was both suspicious and insecure which was one h*ll of a combination. She yearned recognition but she was skeptical when she got it. Hmm, the most lovely contradiction.
"Relax, I don't bite. Unless you want me to," Eric said with wink hoping to loosen her up a little. But she was proving to be the most interesting challenge yet.
"Stop being so tense and look at me. I promise I'm more interesting than the menu you are pretending to read." Eric said, his voice silky smooth.
"You have a nice....Smile."
"I'm glad you like. Anything else you like about me?" Eric teased, sensing her nervousness. She was trying to be very grown up with her answers but still there was a hint of an unexperiences girl there.

Don't look up. Don't. Look. Up! Haylee repeated her thought, as to gain a hold over herself while Eric spoke. Mainly toward relaxing and that he didn't "bite." Unless she wanted to, okay that was the moment: Where she had to look up. So much for that "hold." D@mn it. Though, it was a little interesting to catch a wink before returning to what she had been doing. Looking at the menu, nothing more and nothing less. The fact that Eric knew she was a little bit tense, had bugged her. Who liked to be read like a open book? At least he wasn't taking her said 'tense' moment as anything personal. "I wasn't pretending," Came a mutter before remembering the "bite" remark, now clearing her throat. Her tone indicated otherwise of said 'pretending'.
Darn, silky allure of his. "I'd like to remain bite-free." Oh, being teased by a vampire, that was interesting. If someone had gone through a trouble of speaking to you, the least you could do was to look at them. The menu flopped downward, then her fingertips shoved it away. Both pair of Haylee's eyes were focused upon Eric's face, as if giving the tease some thought. Sure, a lot of guys had looks, but she was simple gal. A good smile, personalty and she was good to go."Two things." That was probably a little daring, given her behavior. "You have nice eyes and you seem attentive." At that moment, Haylee felt thirsty and waved over a waitress. "Can I get a coke?"

This was a curious little creature. He did not know what to make of her. She seemed more than just a meal every minute he spent talking to her. Eric shook himself and tried to focus on the task at hand. Seduction.
"Us vampires have the advantage of hightened senses. I feel more strongly than your average guy. No need to be ashamed of being read by me Haylee," Eric said, smoothly as ever, pronouncing her name very slowly and sensually. Thousand years had been a long time to learn to read people and that was what he was exceptionally good at.
"I'd like to remain bite-free."
"I'm sure we can arrange that. I don't bite unless asked," Eric drawled again, placing emphasis on the asked. Again something that was true about him; he rarely ever needed to ask for a dainty neck to suck blood out of, women offered themselves to him quite freely.
"You have nice eyes and you seem attentive."
"I am attentive. I might be a vampire, but that doesn't make me a brute. No matter how much Bill Compton thinks otherwise, I am a gentleman," Eric said, almost hissing out Bill's name. He had endured a lot of mouthing off from the do gooder vampire and was most glad he didn't apprear to be here this evening.
"Can I get a coke?"
"Of course, anything you desire, you can have with me," he said motioning the waitress over and then ordering a tall glass of coke for her and a true blood for him.

"No one likes a cheat, at poker." Haylee cleverly noted, as to how it felt when being read. Knowing the every move "step" before it was to be made; though you played along. It could make you feel powerless. Being 'unread' is how you could feel safe, in control and to avoid danger. Then again, it's not so bad if YOUR the one using that little ploy. Bah, she didn't feel like she made much sense but wasn't about to correct herself. With her luck, she might stumble and never finish; via getting to a point of some kind. Frankly, Haylee was surprised to even comment on that much, when remembering the tone of Eric's voice. It could melt you like butter, much like her state of being "stressed" the tone had worked it a level downward.
Make THAT a fourth thing, that Haylee began to like about the person she just met. If only she knew what Sookie did, would she still be this way? "Well, I won't be doing no ask'n." Haylee cleared her throat at the idea. It didn't even feel right, when taking it into account. How could she even let someone "bite" her, when she hardly knew him-er said, someone? It wasn't like a harmless kiss. One thing managed to perk her away from all of the contemplation that arrived, her naivete; the mentioning of "Bill Compton." It was a distraction. Frankly, her ruby lips were drawing a smile before loosening to talk.
"If you know Bill, you must know Sookie, right?" Her smile expressed, or tried to: That she thought VERY highly of the woman. "You don't seem to like Bill." Poking that observation out there and blinked to the "Desired" statement. How could she beat a free coke? Casually sipping it with a straw, as it finally arrived. Eric was a gentleman, a smooth talker and a vampire; interesting combination. She wondered what was going to come out, from all of this interaction. Maybe how to deal with flirting? As she was no expert, but this meeting was something new.

"Well if one has the advange, it would be foolish not to use it. World's a cut-throat place Haylee, nothing gets handed to you for free." Eric reminded and suddenly felt very old in comparison to her. She had such youthful optimism, something he had lost centuries ago.
"I assure you, I won't be doing any biting unless it's voluntery. It's most satisfying that way," Eric said, his voice dangerously low. He was of course lying through his teeth about the voluntary aspect of things as there was nothing so fulfilling than tasting a human's fear.
"If you know Bill, you must know Sookie, right?"
"I know Sookie. We are very familiar with each other. We have a bond, you might say," Eric said with amusement. He still found it hilarious that Bill's old lady now had a similar connection to him.
"You don't seem to like Bill."
"Bill Compton and I have known each other for a long time. He is a stick in the mud and there's only so much one can take from a wet blanket," Eric murmured, not keen on thinking about the other vampire this evening.

If you had some kind of advantage, it would be foolish if you didn't even use it to your liking. Depending on a scenario, that might be true and Haylee didn't give any dispute. Except for the last of Eric's statements, that made her think. "World's a cut-throat place Haylee, nothing gets handed to you for free." Her soft facial features began to paint a frown, clearly not something she wanted to hear. Though, just because she didn't want to hear it, didn't make it any less of a truth. Sometimes, if Haylee had something on her mind; she just spoke it. Tonight was no different, if she felt strongly about something. The frown was vanishing, ever so slightly as Haylee opened her lips. "Your right, nothing is free. Though, the world doesn't have to be cut-throat all the time."
By then, she had her coke off to the side, having enough of its fill. At least for now, when her fingertips began to play with the straw.Speaking of "biting," AGAIN: The idea of a mere stranger doing that, wasn't pleasant. It was personal, intimate and that actually kind of scared her. Giving up THAT much control. Vampire or not, maybe it would be worth it, for someone you really trusted. Haylee shook away everything. She actually perked up to the mentioning of Sookie, frankly; Any friend of her's or someone that knew her well enough is, well a friend too! It was weird, to feel so close to someone, that you've just met and hardly know. Yet, Haylee couldn't help it at all.
Her throat chuckled, mainly because of the word "wet blanket," that had been used to describe a interaction. All because it seemed weird, to be coming from Eric, when his voice had been smooth and alluring."No one likes a wet-blankie either, but usually they're looking out for your interests." In fact, when thinking about it, Eric was still was alurring and wondered what may happen next. Given that she felt relaxed but there was a needle of something "off." Nah, it was probably nothing.

"Your right, nothing is free. Though, the world doesn't have to be cut-throat all the time."
"That is a lovely and naive thought darling. Human's are animals and not that different from us vampires. People look after number one, that never changes," Eric explained thoughfully as he finished his tru blood.
"No one likes a wet-blankie either, but usually they're looking out for your interests."
"Bill is not like that. He just generally enjoys raining on everyone else's parade. You can never have any fun around him, he's such a stuffed shirt," Eric laughed gleefully. He didn't hate Bill, he was just bored at the younger vampire.
This was going too slowly for his taste. It was time to speed things up. As much as he was enjoying this conversation, he needed to feed and ravage. Obviously this little morsel wasn't going to fall into his arms as easily as most young woman did so it was time for big action.
"Haylee, listen to me. You are very relaxed and happy. Nothing out of the ordinary is happening. You love me and want to make me happy. What can you do to make me happy Haylee," Eric said, starting to glamour the young blonde. He caressed her face and looked deeply into her eyes. His voice was enthralling and soft; one that could make you do anything he wanted.

Two separate thoughts were born, picking at Eric's statements. Just reviewing them, mostly. Human's are animals and not that different from us vampires. Which related to the said 'second' part, People look after number one, that never changes." Agree to disagree? Haylee probably would've said something, though her eyes were square upon the "Tru Blood" bottle. She had seen only a few commercials for Vampire products, some of that stuff was just weird. Others, well; she could see the important usages; maybe. This was her chance to actually look at the bottle, somewhat up close and in person. She couldn't even imagine what it must be like, to drink the same thing: Day in and day out for all of eternity. Haylee again perked up to the mentioning of Bill, the description from the "wet-blankie" notion.
He generally liked raining on the parade, being a stuffed shirt and that's all Eric had appeared to note, before looking full of glee. "Oh." Not much of reaction, but she hadn't really met Bill, to compare notes. Not to mention, Sookie seemed to like something about him. Or else they wouldn't be dating, right? Haylee was about to play with her straw again, only to hear Eric speak to her. It was polite to look at someone, when they spoke, normally. Yet, it wasn't because of that; for the reason of Haylee looking upward. It was the sound of his voice, alluring and oddly hypnotic, that she gazed into his stare. Her poise signaled relaxation and a sense of being extremely happy.
Why shouldn't she be? She loved him! Plus, nothing out of the ordinary was happening. She wasn't aware that she could be in any danger. Right upon the question of what she could "do" for Eric. Boy, that small caress felt like heaven meeting her face. What could make a vampire, happy or content? that was a real question. It could vary but they all needed one thing. Blood. Rather it be Tru blood, or actual blood; it was needed. Since she "loved" Eric, " I can give you...- trailing off, like she had time to think. Nah, well; this time she was really sure! "My blood."

Eric could see the glamouring starting to work. The girl was completely at his mercy right now, which gave him a huge surge of pleasure. She was helpless against his might, as they all were eventually.
He liked to live for the moment, now more than ever. He wanted every minute to be the most pleasurable one, something little Haylee was providing now.
" I can give you....My blood."
"That's a good girl. But not just yet nor here. Look me in the eyes Haylee," Eric said voice still so smooth you could melt butter. He wanted to delay this for a little bit; she was under his control and he wanted to extend foreplay for a few moments.
"Kiss me, show me that you love me," Eric said, his voice no more than a mere whisper. He continued caressing her cheek, eyes still peeled to her. He was enjoying the total domination he now had over her.
He didn't feel no guilt over doing this to the young girl. He wasn't going to kill her; he wasn't a monster after all. She would merely give herself to him and he would accept, giving her the experience of a lifetime.
