Pam started to hum some old lullaby that Eric would sing to her right after a hunt to calm her nerves. He said it was from his tribe but never really knew who started singing it. Pam sang only when she was really happy and her magic high was stimulating like a big euphoric kill. "Since you are a young one you would be my guest. No little ones under the age of 21 you see. I would set up a table to let you enjoy the scenery and come visit with you. With me around your stock would triple. I am quite the vampire you know. Plus I owe you for your company. Its not everyday some one would spend time with me and not ask for something in return. Its good to offer for a change. Also, it would please me to see you happy." Thinking it to herself had been one thing, saying it out loud had been different all together. She wrinkled her nose. Pam was thinking of seeing a human happy who didn't want anything from her. She was getting weird in her older age.

Okay, upon first glance Pam had looked like she was made of steel, and that she had a glare that could melt even the strongest of men, but here she was, being extremely nice to him. Why? He knew vampires could be, almost, just as human as everyone else, but most didn't, or couldn't. Kyle was, frankly, shocked at such a friendly offer. "Ahm, thanks. Maybe I'll take you up on your offer sometime. I've never been to fangtasia.... Would I have to wear a long black coat and pale my face?" It was a joke, well, half a joke. Was there a dress code at fangtasia?

Pam curled her lip with disgust at the thought of Kyle paling his face and wearing a long trench coat. "Heavens, nothing that garish but yes there is a dress code. We like our humans and vampires with some style. Sometimes the humans do like us to be very Dracula-ish. Eric makes me wear this dreadful gothic frothy dress while I take ID's at the door. Gets them worked into a frenzy of sorts." The woods on either side were buzzing with night activity and it made her wish for the old days of sleeping under ground and hunting in the brush. Those first early years as a vampire didn't come as often or easily as they used to. It was a treat when they did because Pam felt more alive after. "Many tourists come in and do the whole fake vampire bit with fake blood and we sell fake fangs but really there could be nothing more irritating to me. I do not go around with my fangs out all the time. It interfers with my ability to speak. I sound as if I have a lisp." Pam drew back her lips to show her fangs bared. "SSee, thsss iss how I ssound, ff I have my fangss bared." Pam put them away. "It is much more dramatic too be sure but I have to put in too much effort to make my words sound unaffected by them."

Kyle was pleasantly thankful bu her answer - he did not relish the thought of having to go outside the house wearing a dracula get-up. Not unless it was halloween. His interest was a little piqued when Pam talked about her fangs, but her demonstration was almost enough to make him giggle, but he bit his lip to quell it. It wasn't everyday you saw a vampire trying to talk with their fangs retracted, it looked quite...annoying. But sounded funny.
"Well, that was...actually, that was quite funny. But I suppose they're for feeding and not for talking." He shrugged. "But yeah, I'll come around fangtasia sometime. I'll dress to impress" He boasted, shooting her a playful wink.

"Kyle, you have no idea how delighted it makes me to hear you say that! As soon as I get back from my master's mission I will be more than willing to come up here and be your escort at my master's bar!"
The night was still young but she still needed to get to Sookie and deliver the message. Maybe Eric would like him and let Pam keep him. She would have to make some inquiries about this.
Pam tugged on Kyle's hand and pulled him backwards. "Alright good sir, I think my stroll has come to an end. I should be getting back to the bar."

"Sure, no problem." He said as he turned, ready to follow her back to the bar. He really didn't have anything else to do anyway, and Pam was good company. Different from the usual people of Bon Temps, but in a good way. At least, Kyle thought it was a good thing. "Ahm, can I ask what you mean by master? Is he your..sire? Your maker? I'm sorry if I'm prying but I don't know many solid facts about vampire's, apart from the stuff the media says"

Pam winked at Kyle. "You can ask anything you like, that doesn't always mean I will always answer!" She felt more at ease than she had in awhile. "My master is my maker. He is quite the vampire and in the big scheme of things I made out very well. Master is not very demanding and when his business can sustain itself I am free to leave."
Pam twirled a piece of hair around her finger. "You would never know this but many maker's have their underlings do dastardly things but we have no say in their bidding because of our blood bond." Pam grinned "Don't misunderstand, some things they ask us to do are very fun and sometimes bloody...somethings I have seen make me wish I were mortal." Pam no longer cared to share about that part of her history.

Kyle nodded slowly as he listened along with Pam's...detailed answer. The vampires seemed to keep that little piece of information out of the media - the bit about Masters, sires, whatever, having control over their...children? But then again, Kyle could understand why. It is a way were vampires are weak, under someone elses power, and they wouldn't like that being broadcasted. "So you have to do anything your...sire say, no matter what? But your sire is nice and doesn't really make you do anything you don't want to?" Just so he had it correct

"Eric makes me do things I don't want to do all the time...like that awful dress, he knows I'd much prefer a pink tweed to black froth but he knows it brings in customers. Eric also sends me to run errands and message things if he is too busy. I can't stand that either."
Pam pushed open the bar door and the noise of drunk humans greeted her ears. Time here at Bon Temps never seemed to change and the place was going strong as if she had never left.
As she took a seat at their previous booth she noticed the note napkin still hadn't been picke up. Either Sookie was too busy to come by this table or she was trying to blow Pam off. She hoped for the latter becuase Pam did enjoy a game of cat and mouse.
"When I say he doesn't make me do things I don't like or want, its much more servere such as making me stay by his side for an eternity, killing anyone who gets in his way...although he would rather do that himself...I owe him my life and swear my allegiance to him. My master would also never hurt me out of spite..."

Kyle just nodded along with Pam's answers, not really knowing what to say in response. So said nothing, just walked with her back to Merlottes, back into the suddenly warm, loud atmosphere of the bar/grill. Pam probably wouldn't really notice the temperature change, but Kyle did, so he unzipped his coat. Otherwise he would start sweating. And that would be icky.
"Well, that's a good thing, right? That he doesn't really force you to do anything very...unsavoury. I mean, if there were humans under other humas control they could be forced to do some pretty aweful things. I guess vampires are more loyal to each other than humans." He mused out loud. "Something we should probably aspire to"

"You are really too much Kyle, I cannot believe you would want to aspire to as something as "evil" as bloodsucker...or that you would think humans weren't as good as vampires....that is the first time I have heard anyone say something like that." Pam was smiling again.
"Where is that tricky Sookie? I really should talk to her before Eric sends the dogs to find me..." The bar was picking up a lot of steam. "Are you sure you wouldn't like anything stiffer than a coke to drink Kyle?" Pam was really to sneaky for her own good.

Sookie could not help but laugh. To see Pam almost groveling in front of her was worth every penny she had ever saved. Which was not really much. So every penny she had ever spent. "Ok, ok, Pam. You aint gotta leave!" She said as she smiled with a hint of giggle and grabbed another bottle of True Blood to take over to Rose. "Eric always seems to want me for something!" She said as she warmed the bottle, and thought of Eric, their little blood sharing had made this an every day occurrence that she fought off like the wrestlers fought in the WWE. The girlfriends comment was too much. "Slumber parties. Pam, you really worked hard on that one huh. Fine, fine. Ill do whatever this is you need of me." She huffed as she grabbed the bottle out of the microwave and continued. "I better not have to be reading some poor people's minds that can lead to death. You know I do not go for that!"
Sookie motioned for Pam to follow, which she really need not do as Pam was doing this just fine by herself. Pam was not like the other vampires, she was more modern and fun which was enlightening. Sookie always did have a nice time talking with her, more than others. But her boss, that was the one she had the trouble with. She made it to Rose's table. "Here ya go, another bottle on the house!" Sookie said with a smile since she was unable to give full Merlotte's attention to this new, pretty vampire. A house paid blood bottle seemed just as good.

Pam rose from the table and followed behind Sookie. "Now, now Sookie, it doesn't have anything to do with killing anyone...except for maybe a little of what is left of my soul." Pam wasn't exactly happy about this.
"Sookie, you know how when you come to Fangtasia and you see me checking ID's...I am wearing that awful black dress. As you know by now from my description of the monstrosity that Eric likes to call a dress, that I didn't choose it. In fact there are many humiliating things that he has me do every day that thankfully you will never know about."
Pam could tell she had piqued Sookie's interest. "I need your help with a project that Eric wants me to do every month. Would you be interested?"

Sookie continued checking on her tables, making sure the beers were full and the food satisfying. All while listening to Pam and her rambling. Whatever it was that called her here tonight, she figured she would be learning what this was all about soon. "Yeah, I know the dress!" She muttered with a smirk as Pam continued talking. "Eric and humiliating!" She muttered again as Pam continued.
Finally she got to the reason she called upon Sookie. "My help with a project?" She repeated as she thought what in gods name kinda project would Eric need Sookie to help Pam with that did not require listening to someones mind and leading to someone dying. Instead of saying all this, which she was sure Pam always assumed she would ask, she decided to play coy. "Well, I aint gonna make no commitments unless I know what it is!" She replied matterofactly as she walked back to the bar and continued to pour some drinks. Pam was sure to follow along, as she was determined on making Sookie help with this "project".

"Its hard to say how much I loath having to do this next project and its more me asking this favor and not Eric really. I will have to do it either way but if I had some female camaraderie it might help this go by faster." Pam pursed her lips. Sookie was not going to make this easy.
"Recently it was brought to Eric's attention that humans find much fascination with knowing the future. Vampires obviously don't care about that type of thing..."
Pam straightened her blouse and smoothed her skirt as if to prove some point. "Eric has requested that for one weekend out of the month that I dress up and read palms...." She smoothed her hair to relieve some stress. "I guess you would call it reading fortunes. I completely understand if you wouldn't want to but I am not opposed to paying you extremely well to not suffer this alone."
Pam arched an eyebrow and leaned forward. "Obscenely well. I haven't had to spend money on myself for a long time because I am rewarded for my loyalty. You may pass out from the amount that I would be willing to pay...so would you consider it?"
