Sam walked out of the Game Stop and into the surprising bustle of a Sunday afternoon at the mall. Once out of clear earshot, Sam turned to Kyle a perplexed look on his face. "I need your help." he shuffled his feet and put his hands in his back pockets. "I want to buy her something nice, something unique. Something that's witchy. But I have no idea what or where to get something like that?"
He knew he could trust Kyle with the whole Witch secret thing, being one himself. "If you know of anything or anywhere, I'd be real grateful."

Aww, isn't this sweet. Unfortunately for them there wasn't an official witch shop in Bon Temps. The closest you got was the herb stuff and the book shop, which has a few books that were witch-related. "Well...do you know if she needs anything. You could get her a book of shadows or...another book or...well, it really depends on what she likes, you know?" He wasn't explaining this very well. But he needed to know what Brandy uses, or likes to use. Her spellcasting was a different branch than his so the tools and ingredients he would use would be different than Brandy's.

((OOC: Brandy is opting out of a few posts, till Kyle and Sam return to Game Stop.))
Sam looked puzzled. He was completely clueless to what Brandy might need. He didn't even know what she was need. "I gotta be honest with you Kyle. I have absolutely no idea what you just said." Sam now looked defeated. "This is hopeless, I'll never be able to get her anything."

"Hey! don't think like that! We'll find her something, you'll see. What about jewelry? All women love jewellry right? Or...what about even some nice chocolates and flowers?" He said, throwing out ideas. "Apart from witchcraft what else does she like?"

Sam nodded as Kyle spoke. Maybe it was the pressure of finding just the right item for Brandy from him. But Kyle seemed so at ease and full of ideas. His blue eyes twinkled. "Yes!" he smiled, putting his hand up excitedly. "Jewelry is perfect. Is there anywhere nearby we can go to pick up something appropriate."

"Well...what are you looking for? A necklace, a bracelet...some shops specialise and only carry certain things" He said, not wanting to burst Sam's bubble but needing some specifics. At least they'd narrowed it down to jewelry.

Sam thought that over. He wasn't entirely sure. Money was no real object, not that it mattered. What mattered was buying her something that came from his heart. That he picked especially for her. "A pendant would be nice, I think." he gave Kyle an unsure look. "Something that represents who and what she is, ya know"
Sam looked around the mall and back to Kyle. "If you know of anywhere like that, just point me in the right direction."

Hmmm, a pendant..."Well, there's the jewelry shop itself, or there's this other little shop not far from here, it sells a bit more...gothicy? supernnaturally looking stuff. You might find a nice pendant there, one that looks more her thing?" Kyle answered, giving him theo nly two options he could think of. He probably didn't explain the second shop that well, but sure Sam would probably see it before the day was out.

Supernatural sounded perfect. He smiled and patted Kyle on the shoulder. "You just saved my life." realising he had no idea what direction to go in he turned back to Kyle. "Wanna show me where the second shop you mentioned is? Sounds like the right sort of thing I'm looking for. Doesn't hurt to check it out at least, right?"
If this store was a bust, he could go to the other one and buy something a bit more traditional.

Kyle nodded and said a "Follow me", leading the other man, his boss!, out of the mall and to another shop that was just #around the corner'. It was a little out of the way place, but it sold cool jewelry and acessories. Some of it was the cliche skull rings and stuff, but there were other things like Lilith necklaces and bracelts with runes on them. "Here we are" He said, stopping with Sam in front of the closed doorway, letting the man take in the shop before taking him inside.

"Follow me" Kyle said and escorted Sam out the mall and towards a shop that was round the corner. It was a little out the way but it was perfect. At least from the outside.
"Here we are"
Kyle held the door back and Sam nodded and walked inside the shop. It wasn't quite what he imagined. Not quite as dark or musty looking. There were pendants, rings, bracelets, tarot cards, crystal balls. Just about everything you could think of. Sam headed straight over to the pendant selection and casually gazed them. His face fell, what if they were silver?
"Uh, Kyle. " Sam said, turning his head to look over his shoulder at the young witch. "What are these made of?"

Kyle let the door close behind them and headed inside after Sam, nosing about at some of the stuff. He turned back towards the other man when he was called, and he posed a good question. "Well, depends. There's probably some stainless steel, and some silver. Just ask at the counter I suppose" He shrugged. He really couldn't tell the different between the two metals so he wasn't the one to ask.

Sam nodded, best idea was to ask someone in the know. He walked up to the counter and looked hopefully at the pretty girl at the counter. She was tall and had long black hair - probably dyed - with blue highlights. Her face full of piercings and her bare arms covered in tattoos. Now he was here, he felt a little intimidated.
"Can ah help you?" her southern drawl drizzled over every word.
Sam fidgeted and looked visibly nervous. "Uh, yeah. I was wondering what your pendants are made from." he looked behind him and pointed to the jewelry section. "There's something in there I really like, but my girlfriend is allergic to silver." as lies go it was fairly believable.
The assistant arched a pierced eyebrow. "Well, we have silver and pewter. Some come in white gold, but we'd need to order it in specially. It's a Vampire thing." she flashed an awed smile at Sam.
"Right" Sam replied with awkwardness and walked over to pick up the pendant he liked and took it back over to show the assistant. "Does this come in white gold?" Sam handed over a detailed pendant with a crescent moon, a star and an amethyst crystal inside the star.
Her eyes lit up. "Why yes it does. I can order it for you and you can pick it up in a few days. Would that be alright sir?"
Sam smiled, "Sure that'd be fine. Do I need to put down a deposit?"
Sam and the shop assistant went through all the motions and she took a small deposit and Sam stood in the middle of the store with a pleased grin.

Kyle had stoof off to the side, letting Sam negociate with the sale clerk while he simultaneously browsed himself and evesdropped. His eyes widened when he heard 'white gold' and he looked over, seeing the pendant. It was beautiful, not something he would personally wear, but beautiful for a woman. And something that he thought Brandy would enjoy immensely. And white gold! Very flash!
He waited 'til the sales clerk was ringing the sale up and went over to Sam. "Nice choice! She's gonna love it" He said, even thought it was kind of unecessary - Sam knew that she would like it.

"Nice choice! She's gonna love it"
Sam grinned. "I hope so." then a frown. "having to wait for it is a pain in the ass though." The assistant shot Sam a look. "Oh it's all worth it. Thank you for your help."
"Ready to head back Kyle" Sam nodded towards the door. He was anxious to get back to Brandy, not that Kyle was bad company. In fact Kyle was a huge help and he noted to let him know when they were on the way back to the mall.
