By the time Kyle and Sam were to return, Brandy had an overflowing armful of game tickets. They might of only been gone for 30 minutes, but Brandy had literally exhausted many rounds of skeeball which she was particularly skilled at.
She was leaning over the counter as the lady behind the counter feed the tickets through the ticket machine. 10,500 tickets. Now what would that buy? Oh! A wii! Or... an Ipod nana... or.. a playstation! The girl behind the counter had a weird look on her face, as if she never actually gave any of those prizes away.
She really didn't know what she should get, so she settled on the Playstation 2 with a shrug. Maybe if the guys had been there they could of made up her mind for her.
"You still have 500 tokens left"
"I'll take the Lassie-looking stuffed puppy please"
There was almost a look of child-like glee when it was handed off to her. Maybe Kyle could actually get more use out of the game system than she could.

Kyle giggled at that one. So, Sam was just as impatient as he was. That was kind of a relief for him. "Yeah, I hate having to wait as well. But, that's the way it is. It's crap, but true. And sure, if you're all done then let's head back" He said, giving the store clerk a small wave and heading for the door. Some of the things in here had caught Kyle's eye...maybe he'll come back when he has a bit more money to his name.

Sam made his way out of the store and back out onto the street and towards the mall. "Listen, Kyle. I appreciate you helping me out with this. I owe you one." he smiled and thought of Brandy. He hoped she liked her gift and understood that it would take some time to give her it.

Kyle let the door close behind him and Sam and off they headed for the Mall, back to BB. He looked over at Sam, giving him his attention when the man started to speak, then he waved his words off. "Don't worry about it. It's fine." Seriously, he didn't expect anything in return! It wasn't like he gave the man a kidney or anything.

Brandy had already been making her way out of game stop when she saw Sam and Kyle walking down the mall together. She didn't see anything in Sam's hands, but she wasn't too worried about it. Maybe he just didn't know what to get her? She didn't expect anything.
She had taken off toward them in a light jog, one arm had the PlayStation 2 under it, and the other had the puppy. She had the biggest, stupidest grin on her face as she came skidding to a stop in front of them.
"Hey guys! Lookie what I won!"
She thrusted the video game system toward Kyle, and the stuffed collie dog toward Sam. With a grin she patted both of their heads and took off toward another store before they could say anything.
She was mid-jog when she turned toward them.
"Meet me in the food court, I'll be ten minutes"
She already knew what she was getting him.

"Hey guys! Lookie what I won!"
Brandy had a huge grin on her face and thrust a stuffed collie dog toy into Sam's arms and patted him on the head as well as Kyle. Sam looked at the animal, a half smile on his face. More amused than anything.
"Meet me in the food court, I'll be ten minutes"
Then she sort of skipped off happily. Sam held onto the stuffed animal awkwardly. "So..." he began looking all around him then back to Kyle. "Just head to the food court now?"

"Ah...sure" Kyle said, still in shock over Brandy's abrupt arrival and departure. She bounced in, shoved their items at them, patted their heads, and then bounced off again. He looked down at the box in his hands. A PS2? Okay...Maybe it was for Sam? Kyle smiled at the thought of Sam Merlotte playing a playstation...it just didn't seem to fit.
He readjusted the box so it was more comfortable, and then focused back on Sam, his eyes only flicking down to the stuffed god once. "So...after you"

Brandy had popped into the key cutting store, more like a corner kiosk filled with a display of zippo lighters and a key cutting machine tucked in the corner behind the counter.
While it was tempting to get Sam a zippo lighter, he probably would never use it but.. well, that was her thought until she spotted the one she couldn't resist.
It was tacky, but in a cute kind of way - and you never knew if you would need flame around a witch right? It was perfect, and she passed it over to the clerk."Did you want anything etched on the back?"She thought about it for a moment and then nodded."Always. With a period at the end.""Of course, just one moment"Brandy nodded, leaning against the counter as the woman spent a couple moments on a machine and then returned the lighter to her. Brandy turned it over to look at the calligraphy - it was perfect.
After paying the woman, getting the small box for it and a container of lighter fluid, she made her way to the food court. Sure enough the guys were sitting there and she took her seat beside Sam."You can keep the game system Kyle, I really don't have time for it. And Sam, this is for you"She passed him the bag and leaned back in her chair, wondering what he would think of it.

Sam made his way out of the Game Stop and started on his way towards the food court before settling in a seat in a coffee shop. he lay the collie toy on the table and waited on Brandy to find them.
It wasn't long before Brandy came bounding up to Kyle and Sam at the table. She looked very pleased with herself. "You can keep the game system Kyle, I really don't have time for it. And Sam, this is for you"
Sam took the bag and investigated the contents. A zippo lighter with a collie print on it. Sam smiled, it was a lovely gesture even if a bit near the knuckle with someone else there. "Thanks babe" he leant over and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "It's great." His face fell a little, "I uh, don't have anything for you. Yet." he rubbed his bearded chin. "I can collect it in a few days, so till then. Surprise."

Kyle's eyes widened when Brandy came back and said for him to keep the playstation. It was...quite a substantial object! And she was just giving it to him willy nilly...okay..."Ahm...thanks" he said quietly, still feeling a bit bad? overwhelmed? Then that feeling changed when her and Sam exchanged their gift and shared their intimate moment. Then Kyle felt kind of like a third wheel, like he should be looking away...

"I uh, don't have anything for you. Yet. I can collect it in a few days, so till then. Surprise."
"... turn it over, Sam."
Brandy had her eyes on Sam briefly, and then decided to turn her attention back to Kyle. He said his thanks for the game system, and Brandy just waved the thanks away.
"I'm a pro at skeeball, that machine only ended up costing me 10 dollars. It's yours, like I said I won't have time to use it"
Brandy wondered what they should do now, it was just the three of them and Brandy had done what she had dragged Sam out to do.
"So.. uh.. Kyle, what do you have planned for the next couple days? Don't you start work at Merlotte's soon?"

"... turn it over, Sam."
Sam nodded with a smile, then a coy look upwards with his eyes to her. He was genuinely touched at the inscription. "Thank you...." he beamed. "I don't know what else to say." Sam couldn't take his eyes off her, even as she spoke to Kyle.
He was looking forward to going back to the trailer for a cosy night in with Brandy. It was just pizza and soda, but it wasn't so much the food as the company he was most looking forward to.

"Yeah I do" Kyle started, putting the Playstation on the table. "I'm just helping out Lafayette in the kitchen, preparing stuff and all that. But he's still doing the cooking. I can't cook worth a d**n." He explained, again glancing at the Playstation box. It was quite a substantial gift for Brandy to just give him out of the blue. But...she did say it only cost he like £10, and that she wouldn't get much use out of it so...

"Thank you....I don't know what else to say."
Brandy gave Sam a reassuring glance, and returned her attention back to Kyle. Kyle had put the PlayStation on the table and reassured Brandy's statement that he was working at the bar. So essentially, this made Sam Kyle's boss.
It was kind of weird, she had a hard time seeing Sam as a boss.
"I'm just helping out Lafayette in the kitchen, preparing stuff and all that. But he's still doing the cooking. I can't cook worth a d@mn."
Brandy had to laugh at this, she cooked - she just didn't enjoy it that much. She fully prepared herself, however, for having to cook for a husband in the future. It was usually expected, she assumed.
"I don't really cook that much. I can though, don't get me wrong. Sam and I are just having pizza tonight.. the easiest meal of them all. It's called delivery"

(OOC - Sam has allowed me to go next ) Kyle nodded vigorously, agreeing with Brandy. "Oh I agree! But I'm not much one for pizza. Chinese however is my achiles heel. Love chinese food" Kyle said, feeling hungry just thinking about all the food that was just at the other end of the phone...Hmm...Maybe he would get some chinese food for dinner... "What about you Sam? What tickles your fancy?"
