Sam drove from the Shreveport Travelodge to his trailer. The entire journey Brandy was completely out for the count. Not even bumps on the road in made her wake even remotely. It was quite miraculous. She really was wasted.
Sam had to throw her over his shoulder to get her out of the truck cab, up the small set of steps and into his trailer. He put her into his bed, took off her shoes and pulled the duvet over her. He made a quick stop into the kitchen to get a cold glass of water for her and placed it on his bedside table.
He slumped down onto an armchair and leant his head back into the chair. He felt his eyes grow heavy and as much as he fought it he was unable to keep them open.

Much to Brandy's surprise she woke up with not even a headache. It was reassuring as she sat up in the bed and took the glass of water from the bedside table and took a refreshing gulp. The clock read 6:00pm in red letters which meant Brandy had been out like a light for a little over 4 hours. She didn't even remember anything past just leaving Summer's motel room.
She had no dreams to recall, which was probably in her favor. With how drunk she was who knew what kind of dreams plagued her sleeping head? After kicking herself up off the bed she rubbed her eyes and let out a yawn. She was still a little sleepy, nothing a quick shower couldn't cure. Speaking of shower, she would need something to wear around the trailer while her clothes were in the washer and dryer.
Sam had picked the trailer because it was closer to the bar, the only problem with that was - she didn't have any clothes over here. That meant washing her clothes and wearing one of his plaid shirts so that no one would see her wandering around his home in the nude.
Oh well, after grabbing one of his shirts she put it on loosely and trotted herself into the living room. Quite unexpectedly he was asleep on the armchair, did he mean to do that? Had he been there the entire time - wouldn't everyone in the bar be worried? Would they blame her?
He looked so peaceful sleeping there that she didn't want to wake him. Last night was rough for him, she was sure, as much as it was rough for her. So she decided to let him sleep while she put the clothes in the washer and made her way toward the shower.

Sam could hear faint footsteps as his eyes slowly blinked open. A blurry haze made it difficult to make out what he saw. But it looked like Brandy in nothing but a plaid shirt. "D*mn you're a sight for sore eyes" he said lazily, stretching his arms above his head. Letting his eyes focus properly.
"You feelin' okay?" he asked, becoming more awake and finding it hard to concentrate on anything other than her long legs. There wasn't a man on earth who didn't find a vision like this unattractive. It was one of the sexiest things in the whole world. A woman in one of your shirts and not much else underneath.
He coughed lightly, as he made an valiant effort to not get aroused. There would be time for that later, he reasoned with the little devil on his shoulder.

"D*mn you're a sight for sore eyes"
Brandy had almost made it to the bathroom when she heard his voice coming from the chair in the living room. She turned to look over her shoulder toward him, a soft expression on her face.
"Oh, I'm sorry hun. I didn't mean to wake you, you looked very peaceful"
Had she not of been so self-conscious she would of been rushing over to him and placing herself on his lap. However, she liked to be clean for her man and refused to show much affection until she smelled like a woman again.
"You feelin' okay?"
Brandy nodded firmly, she was feeling a lot better than she did 6 hours ago - that was for sure. Plus, it was nice to back in the trailer again and so close to him. What she wouldn't give to wake up to him every morning, she practically did already. Come to think of it since the second time they slept together - she had shared his bed and he had shared her's ever since.
"I thought you would be at work, have you been on the chair since I've been asleep?"

"I thought you would be at work, have you been on the chair since I've been asleep?"
Sam checked his watch and pulled an 'uh oh' face. "I guess I have. I'll pop over in a bit. Make sure everything's tickin' over." he patted his lap. "C'mere." he smiled. "Just for a minute."
All Sam's worries were gone, even if only for a little while. He just wanted to be near Brandy. Just needed to hold her, to feel her warmth next to his. She felt so right in his arms, like it was destiny. Like she was created soley for him and he for her.
He was slowly falling deeper and as showing no signs of wanting to escape.

"I guess I have. I'll pop over in a bit. Make sure everything's tickin' over."
Sam had patted his lap, now how could she refuse an offer like that? If he wanted to hold her, even with her not at her best, well, she couldn't argue with him. Why would she want too?
"Just for a minute."
She nodded and made her way over to him, slipping onto his lap with ease she wrapped her arms loosely around his shoulders. She couldn't take her eyes off of him, and for a minute they just looked into eachother's eyes in silence.
Finally she spoke, her hand reached to straighten out his bangs as if it made any difference. She really just wanted to run her finger's through his hair - nothing wrong with that.
"Sam, what did you mean earlier when you said you wanted to talk to me about our home?"
She couldn't help but to be curious, had she of not been so tired in the truck she would of been bothering him about it instead of getting her much needed rest. What possibly could he of meant by that?

Brandy sat down on his lap, her arms around his shoulders. Even after a drunken binge she looked fantastic to him. Sam rest his hands on her thighs without moving his gaze from hers. Wen they were just like this, together with no stress or troubles. His anxiety about the shifting seemingly disappeared.
"Sam, what did you mean earlier when you said you wanted to talk to me about our home?"
He felt his heart pounding in his chest as she brought up what he said to her in Summer's room. "About that." he began, cautiously. "When I go over to the bar, I've got something to bring over for you." he paused, intentionally drawing out the tension. "I got an key cut for this place and I want you to have it. So you can come and go as you please here."

"About that."
Brandy was looking at him with wide-eyes, she really had no idea what was coming next. Well, she hoped what would be coming next was something about her and him and the trailer. But with Sam's coyness, who really knew?
"When I go over to the bar, I've got something to bring over for you."
The pause was excruciating, and he was doing it intentionally - she could tell. She gave a (fake) growl and shook his shoulders in the process.
"Come on Sam, tell me!"
"I got an key cut for this place and I want you to have it. So you can come and go as you please here."
Brandy didn't say a word, she didn't have too. Her face was an expression of 'really, you really mean it?'. Was he asking her to move in with him? That's what it was right?
"So... by me having a key you mean.. me moving in here right? Or am I jumping the gun here? Because, if I move in here then maybe we can let Kaelyn have the duplex? I.. I just want to be sure your not teasing me here.... "

Brandy's face was a picture. Like a child experiencing there first Christmas morning. He had a feeling she'd enjoy the surprise, but it was just nice to see her face light up with happiness. She deserved it after all the torture she'd put herself through.
"So... by me having a key you mean.. me moving in here right? Or am I jumping the gun here? Because, if I move in here then maybe we can let Kaelyn have the duplex? I.. I just want to be sure your not teasing me here.... "
"I mean you have the key, you can move in." he grinned and the look in his eyes went to mischevious. "You're here all the time anyways. May as well make it official, right?" he nodded "I'm more than happy to sign the duplex over to Kaelyn."

"I mean you have the key, you can move in."
Brandy wasn't just sitting on his lap now, she had her arms wrapped tightly around him, pressing every possible body part against his own. This was a big deal wasn't it? It sure felt like it was.
"You're here all the time anyways. May as well make it official, right?"
His words swelled her heart, as just being around him usually did. She couldn't help but to kiss him on the cheek - and the cheek sort of turned into the chin, and the nose - little, almost innocent butterfly kisses wherever her lips chose to land.
"I'm more than happy to sign the duplex over to Kaelyn."
Luckily for both Sam and Brandy, Brandy didn't have much stuff to move. A few witch supplies, lots of clothes and toiletries. Sam had the duplex pretty much furnished, part of Brandy wondered if most of that stuff actually belonged to the murdered woman who rented the duplex before.
Oh well, best to not bother Kaelyn with that knowledge. The house was clean now, completely, thanks to both Brandy and Sam. Thanks to Sam because, he had given her the opportunity to do it.
"So.. if we are going to do this, then lets do this right. I'll move in when I come back from Dallas. That way, not only do we get to keep on helping Kaelyn.. but we also get to be together more now. Are you... positive? I don't want you getting sick of me... this is kind of, a big deal"

Brandy swung round and was no longer on his lap, but in it. Her arms around him tightly and she started to smother him in small kisses. He knew she'd want to say something, so rather than pulling her closer and placing a deep, passionate kiss on her soft lips.
"So.. if we are going to do this, then lets do this right. I'll move in when I come back from Dallas. That way, not only do we get to keep on helping Kaelyn.. but we also get to be together more now. Are you... positive? I don't want you getting sick of me... this is kind of, a big deal"
Sam agreed with a subtle nod of his head. Everything was starting to make more sense now. "Sounds like a good plan." he smiled at her and took one of her hands from around his neck and held it close to his chest. "I'm absolutely 100% sure. If I was gonna get sick of you, it would have happened already." he gave her a serious look. "I know it's a big deal and I know it's a huge commitment. But we spend so much time together, it makes sense to me. I'm also sure that some people will think we're rushing things but, we're both consenting adults. To hell with what people think."

"Sounds like a good plan."
Brandy felt him reach for her hand and place it on his chest. Her eyes softened at this small gesture - the smallest of gestures that Sam did for her were what she noticed the most.
"I'm absolutely 100% sure. If I was gonna get sick of you, it would have happened already."
He was right. She had always been worried about smothering him since the beginning. Now, being around him as much as she could just sort of.. happened. And anytime they were apart, they both couldn't wait to be back together again.
"I know it's a big deal and I know it's a huge commitment. But we spend so much time together, it makes sense to me. I'm also sure that some people will think we're rushing things but, we're both consenting adults. To hell with what people think."
That was when Brandy laughed, quite hysterically. She found it hard to look at him as there were actual tears coming from her eyes.
"Oh geesh Sam, you are so cute sometimes! Consenting adults? I love it!"
She couldn't help it, she hugged him tightly again. And she wouldn't let go, only easing away to look at him with a warm smile.
"I can't wait"
Brandy had to admit to herself though, she must of been pretty d@mn special for Sam to say "To Hell With What People Think". Especially when it seemed, at least in the beginning, to be all he worried about - what people thought.

Brandy erupted into loud exitable laughter, Sam grinned but was looking at her in bewilderment. "What's so funny?" he managed to spit out in between giggles.
"Oh geesh Sam, you are so cute sometimes! Consenting adults? I love it!" then she threw her arms around Sam, hugging him tightly. She pulled away with a loving smile on her face.
"I can't wait"
Strangely to Sam, neither could he. All his fears and worries about there relationship were vanishing day by day and he was just relaxing into it. It felt good to have someone love you like this, to know there always there no matter what.
Having someone accept him as he was, for what he was meant a whole lot to Sam. Finally being able to tear down the wall of fear and mistrust and give himself to this amazing, girl so completely.
He came back from his thoughts to find himself stroking her hair. A dopey grin on his face. "You are" he paused for a happy sigh. "so d*mn beautiful. How the f*ck did I get so lucky?"

Now, the strange thing about everything was, Brandy didn't know everything about Sam. She only knew as much as he decided to tell her. She didn't know what made her think about this, as he stroked her hair and called her beautiful - and then wondered out loud how he got so lucky.
She had no reasoning for it, for their being together and meeting this way. She didn't plan on love when she first came to Bon Temps. All she planned on was escaping Derek. Brandy maneuvered herself so that she was sitting on the floor with her head gently in his lap. His question, rather it was rhetorical or not, had strummed up an answer in her.
"You must of been ready to completely give up on being with someone. Just as I was running from love, or - what a crazy b@sterd thought love was, maybe you were running toward it and we kind of met in the middle?'
Brandy's hands were symbolizeing a 'live action' scenario of two 'trains' coming from opposite directions and colliding with each other.
"I know there is quite a bit I haven't told you about myself, and quite a lot you probably haven't told me. Me moving in, and I'm so happy that you have invited me to, is another door opening. And your right, who care's what people think? Few people get to experience this. I think somebody up there likes you"

You must of been ready to completely give up on being with someone."
Those words truly hit home with Sam. He nodded with a sad look in his eyes. "That's pretty much it." the words were almost whispered. Like he was afraid to say it out loud.
"I know there is quite a bit I haven't told you about myself, and quite a lot you probably haven't told me. Me moving in, and I'm so happy that you have invited me to, is another door opening. And your right, who care's what people think? Few people get to experience this. I think somebody up there likes you"
Sam felt a smile on his face. He couldn't have put it better himself. "There's plenty of time to learn things about one another. The most important ones are already out there." he said implicating her witchyness and his shape shifting. His whole hand stroked the back of her head, his fingers gently passing through her soft black hair.
When he spoke of an everwatching presence, looking out for him he shook his head. "Oh I dunno about that, but I am sure glad your train did collide with mine."
