Maryann gazed at her reflection in the full length mirror in her bedroom. The giggling of Arlene, Jane Bodehouse and some hysterical blonde calling herself Rosie. Maryann wanted Haylee to be with her on her special day, but after her failure to lure Sam. Haylee was left on the sidelines. Maryann had no room for failures, but part of her couldn't bare to eliminate Haylee altogether. There was something different, something very special about Haylee Maryann had never came across before. Having her around could be beneficial in the long run.
"You look a vision of radiance mistress." Carl cooed at her, his eyes full of admiration.
The three hand maidens giggled there agreeance with the man servant. Maryann flushed a little. "Aw you all spoil me so much. I'm just so excited, like a hundred butterflies have been set loose in my stomach."
Maryann thought of Sam, she'd sent out all the males to look for him. Come hell or high water, Sam Merlotte would be here to make his sacrifice. To bring forth Dionysus, through his death. Maryann flushed at the thought of seeing her beloved, her husband to be.
Maryann gazed at her reflection, hoping she looked beautiful for Him. Hoped that her long white silk gown would be satisfactory for Him. Carl placed a wreath of white flowers around the crown of Maryann's head. Maryann smiled, "Oh Carl, it's perfect."
He bowed his head in thanks. "So are you my mistress Call..." Maryann threw him a glare. "Don't you EVER say my name. It is not for you to speak openly."
Carl bowed. "My humble apologies mistress. I will not repeat it so long as I live."
"Is the egg ready?" Maryann turned to the three women, all in matching white toga style gowns. With white floral wreaths on there heads.
"The egg!" squealed Arlene, "Come on girls!" Rosie and Jane followed Arlene out screaming in excitement.

Once an invitation had been granted, unless it was revoked, a vampire was allowed to enter a residence freely. The feeling of celebration was radiating from the humble house as Derek approached Maryann's home - he even wiped all thoughts clean of Sam, and of Brandy, just to avoid giving anything away in his actions.
Derek entered the home and he immediately heard the laughter of women and the more.. prominent voice of Maryann. When he entered the room she was in he casually crossed his arms and leaned against the door way.
"I believe I am looking at the most beautiful bride these soulless eyes have ever seen"
His voice, most certainly, would catch Maryann's attention. He had pushed himself away from the door way and walked up to her, ignoring the other girl's around her. One hand reached for her's, and brought it to his lips to lightly kiss before he looked back up at her slowly.
"I knew all along what you were, my goddess. I won't lie at my disappointment that I couldn't be the one who becomes your husband."
His expression was sincere as he brushed a loose hair out of her eyes and away from her face. She was a remarkable creature up close.
"Let me be the one that makes sure your special day goes off without a hitch. I will be the one to collect your vessel. Bring someone to collect the witch. I smelled her blood outside and I followed the trail to a motel outside of Bon Temps before I came here. No one is going to ruin your special day."

"I believe I am looking at the most beautiful bride these soulless eyes have ever seen"
Maryann swung her head round to see her handsome Vampire friend, she never did get his name that night. But she was very pleased to see him. More pleased than she should be, but Maryann hid it well.
"Oh well hello. I wasn't expecting to see you again."
Maryann wasn't about to hide her pleasure at his tribute. He took her hand and kissed it lightly. He was such a delicious temptation.
"I knew all along what you were, my goddess. I won't lie at my disappointment that I couldn't be the one who becomes your husband."
Maryann tilted her head. She kept her eyes on Derek but addressed her female helpers. "Leave us!" they all scuttled out disapointed, though all of them giving Derek a look of sheer lust.
Maryann walked towards the back of the room. "You're a very observant one aren't you." she gave him a knowing smile. She neither admitted nor denied to him what she was. Her heart raced a little as he expressed his loss at her not becoming his bride.
"Let me be the one that makes sure your special day goes off without a hitch. I will be the one to collect your vessel. Bring someone to collect the witch. I smelled her blood outside and I followed the trail to a motel outside of Bon Temps before I came here. No one is going to ruin your special day."
Maryann's eyes lit up. Now he was really getting her attention. The shameless flirtation was gone and all that was left was the vessel and his sacrifice. "You would do this for me? Why? What do you get out of bringing Sam Merlotte to me?" she wasn't suspicious, but curious as to the reasoning this Vampire had.

"Oh well hello. I wasn't expecting to see you again."
"What can I say, I know what attracts me. I couldn't get you out of my mind and mostly, I chastised myself for not even letting you know my name. It's Derek, if I may so boldly add."
He watched the way she treated her.. bridesmaids, and it made him smirk. Especially because they all looked ready to jump him at any moment. In a way he had been glad she had forced them away, they were quite annoying.
"You're a very observant one aren't you."
"Mostly, I would say I'm well educated. Before I was a vampire, I was a powerful witch. Such a thing has proven to be an advantage carried on from my previous life."
He wouldn't lie, he missed the kind of power he had back then. He also missed being able to smoke a bloody cigarette! Perhaps, he even missed that most of all.
"You would do this for me? Why? What do you get out of bringing Sam Merlotte to me?"
Ah yes, that was the million dollar question wasn't it? Truthfully, Derek wasn't expecting Maryann to even ask such a thing. It didn't stop him from coming up with an answer, with barely a pause in breath.
"What don't I get? I hate that man with a passion. Of all the f*cking men in this sh!tty town my ex girlfriend, the witch chose him. They both made a fool out of me and I've been meaning to wait for the perfect opportunity to destroy them both."
The anger, the hatred in Derek's eyes was evident - even the scowl on his lips was enough to burn a hole through the wall, should he of had any magical powers left in him.
"I would be forever in your servitude, you and your god. Use me, abuse me, watch me kill for you. I don't care. Just give me the greatest gift, and I forever will be in your debt. Allow ME to be the one that brings the sacrifice and watch those f*ckers suffer. I can't think of two more willing people that deserve such misery - other than the witch and the shifter."

"What can I say, I know what attracts me. I couldn't get you out of my mind and mostly, I chastised myself for not even letting you know my name. It's Derek, if I may so boldly add."
Maryann took a mental note of his name, for later use. He really knew how to play to her weakness for compliments.
"Mostly, I would say I'm well educated. Before I was a vampire, I was a powerful witch. Such a thing has proven to be an advantage carried on from my previous life."
"A witch? Fascinating, you must be very well read indeed." Maryann traced her hands over her dresser and took a small sniff of a vase full of orchids.
"What don't I get? I hate that man with a passion. Of all the f*cking men in this sh!tty town my ex girlfriend, the witch chose him. They both made a fool out of me and I've been meaning to wait for the perfect opportunity to destroy them both."
Maryann grinned, this was all too perfect. His rage and anger was a sight to behold. If anyone wouldn't fail her in obtaining the vessel, Derek was.
This was music to Maryann's ears and her grin of sheer delight was across her face. This Angel of Death, offering himself to her was pure joy. "Then you have my blessing to get Sam Merlotte and his little witch wh*re. You will be rewarded for your loyalty, I assure you." Maryann put a finger under his chin. "Derek." she finished off my merely saying his name.

"Then you have my blessing to get Sam Merlotte and his little witch wh*re. You will be rewarded for your loyalty, I assure you."
The grin on his face was cunningly evil, almost deliciously so. His dark eyes had glanced around, who would be the perfect person to grab Brandy. Oh - well, this was interesting. He could smell Brandy's blood on that one.. his eyes drifting toward Eggs.
"Derek."
He reached for Maryann's finger with his hand, easing his lips downward to kiss her fingertip. At that moment he took a step back from her and nudged his head toward Eggs.
"Him, there. Have him come with me to collect the witch. He will grab the witch and I will take the shifter by surprise when he rushes to stop him. Your greatest satisfaction will be seeing Sam Merlotte's heart in your hands, my greatest satisfaction will be watching the pain in the witches eyes while you do so. "

Derek seductively kissed the tip of her finger. He was such a tormentor, like he knew exactly what he was doing. He motioned his head towards Eggs,
"Him, there. "
Maryann clapped her hands together, a huge beaming smile on her face. "Now that would be the absolute perfect wedding gift. Go now, bring them to me. It is almost time." Maryann placed a hand on Derek's arm. "This is a great day."

Brandy was watching behind them the entire time. Her brown eyes full of panic, worry, and fear. What was this all about? What had either of them done to deserve this? Not to mention she was scared sh!tless of Egg's now. When Eggs came to a screeching halt he had reached for her and hoisted her over his shoulder like she was some sort of bag of flour.
All Brandy could see was the grass trail behind her, her head raising and watching behind them constantly until she heard the laughter and the cheering of people. Eggs had stopped after what seemed like an eternity and turned Brandy around to drop her to the ground, right at Maryann's feet.
From her place on the ground she could see all the people around her - a few of the townies were in white dresses, namely Arlene and Jane. Bridesmaids? Once Brandy's brown hues met Maryanne's her eyes narrowed angrily.. this was the last b!tch she had wanted to see that night.

The excitement level of the wedding party had reached critical mass. The whopping and hollering and general noise was a cacophony of various sounds. Carl knocked on Maryann's door, he bowed. "Mr Talley has a gift for you mistress."
Maryann gasped and her eyes widened with happiness. "Oh please, have him bring her up here. I've been waiting so very long for this moment."
Maryann wasn't waiting long and there stood Eggs, grinning with pride. Desperate for praise from his dark mistress. The witch slung casually over his shoulder. "Put her on the chair over there, and tie her up. I don't need her running out on me just yet."
Eggs obeyed Maryann's command without a word. Though still grinning, that empty headed grin. He dumped her roughly on the a wooden chair with a thinly padded seat. Bound her hands behind her back and onto the chair.
"Wait outside please Benedict" Maryann smiled, using Egg's real name. As he left the room and closed the door over. Maryann looked down upon her hostage. "I told you I'd get him. You're cheap little parlour tricks did nothing but piss me off and more determined to have him and have you watch while he makes the greatest gift anyone can ever give, that of sacrifice." she bent over, resting her hands on her thighs. "It will be glorious. He is coming, very very soon and your little doggy will be the vessel to bring him forth. Isn't that wonderful?"
Maryann stood upright, wondering where Derek was with her prize. Her gift to Bacchus.

((ooc: As always, permission is given for the god modding))
Stupid shifters. They always needed clothes. Derek was stuck carrying them all the way from the motel, and he was more than eager to give them back once they were within distance.
Derek could hear the cheering and the hollering as they approached Maryann's house and even though Derek had steadied his pace, Sam still took a moment to catch up in his collie form.
Derek had stopped, crossing his arms as he glanced toward Sam and tossed his clothes in front of him before he looked away.
"Of all the forms, you choose a dog. A border collie to boot, like your some mother f*cking Lassie. Typical plaidy, just typical"
Once Sam was back in his human form and had his clothes on, Derek had reached for him and pulled him roughly toward the house. Sam couldn't of got away even if he tried, but Maryann had Brandy - and that was more than enough of a reason for Sam to realize it was too late to change his mind now.
The ceremony was in Maryann's back yard and Sam and Derek had come from the forest. The locals littered the back yard, all of them were dressed in white toga's with wreathes of various flowers on their heads. All of them with their soulless black eyes, and boy did they all go into an uproar when Derek manhandled Sam into their general direction.
It was a ceremony alright, Derek had thought amused at the drums playing in the back ground and a large bonfire bathing the whole backyard in an eerie light. To the left was a figure that threw even Derek off. It was a tree of sorts, covered in rotten meat with a big hole in the middle.. looking like some sort of nest? Even for Derek it was f*cked up. As if on cue, Arlene and Jane giggled and placed a blood-stripped egg into the nest.
Derek just shook his head, and shot a glance toward Terry, Mike, Eggs and a couple others. Eggs would of been able to handle Sam on his own, add the other 4 and there was no chance Sam would be able to change his mind at the last minute or do something stupid.
"Prepare the vessel."
He tossed Sam toward the group, who had grabbed at Sam and carried him, kicking and screaming to a wooden pillar laying on the ground. They knew how to prepare the vessel.
Tie his arms and his legs to the wooden pillar, tie a scarf like cloth around his mouth to keep him from screaming out for help and hoist him up in the air much like they had done to Jesus on the cross. It was a bit of gruesome symbolism if you thought of it, and he knew that when Brandy saw Sam in that position she would cry out bloody murder. Moments like that had reminded Derek how painful it had been to be a human. Something that still embedded itself in him, annoyingly so.
Derek entered the house through the back way, making his way toward the room where Maryann had just finished saying her peace to Brandy. Derek stayed behind Brandy, not wanting to see her face until he absolutely had too.
"Your vessel is here."
His eyes never left Maryann's for a moment, an almost cocky smirk on his thin lips.
"I told you, no one was going to ruin your day"
To reassure his observation he nudged his head toward Brandy who was unable to speak, or even move to look toward him.
"Want me to grab her? Let the little b!tch have the front row seat?"

Sam followed Derek as quickly as he could. Four feet were faster than his human two, but still nowhere near Vampire speed. But soon, Sam caught up to Derek who was amusingly standing there with Sam's clothes in his arms and looking very disgruntled by the very idea of it.
Sam shifted back to human form and took the clothes from Derek. Derek turned away and actually allowed Sam put his clothes back on with a little dignity.
"Of all the forms, you choose a dog. A border collie to boot, like your some mother f*cking Lassie. Typical plaidy, just typical"
Sam was set to hit back with a snappy retort, but Derek manhandled him and dragged him towards Maryann's house. Everyone who was anyone in Bon Temps was there. All dressed in Greek style togas, and with floral wreaths on there heads.
Sam looked around the backyard of Maryann's mansion, apart from the black eyed guests the place just looked plain eery. A huge effigy like monstrosity and it was covered in raw meat of all things. Sam curled his nose up at the smell of it. It was foul.
"Prepare the vessel."
Derek threw Sam to Terry, Eggs and Mike Spencer. They knew what to do and led him off to a wooden pillar. Sam continued to play along, struggling against there arms and strength appropriately. Though deep down there was that concern that Derek wasn't on the level and Sam really would die tonight. The worst part of all would be not being able to say goodbye to Brandy. Tell her he was sorry.
It wasn't long till Sam was tied tightly to the pillar and gagged for good measure. They hoisted him up high in preperation for Maryann and the coming of there God. Screams and applause rippled through the backyard in approval. Sam prayed to his own God that things would work out.

"Your vessel is here."
The seductive tones of Derek made Maryann swirl round in happiness. Her face flushing with absolute bliss. Her eyes wide and ecstatic. She covered her mouth with her hands, almost prayer like. "Oh my...." she gasped unable to put her thoughts into words so soon. "You...are wonderful"
She watched as Derek made his way to behind Brandy. He had that devious smirk on his face that Maryann had came to love so much. "I told you, no one was going to ruin your day"
"Yes...yes you did." Maryann beamed with happiness. Everything was falling so neatly into place. She had the vessel, she had witnesses and she now had a Dark Angel at her command. It couldn't have been anymore perfect.
"Want me to grab her? Let the little b!tch have the front row seat?"
Maryann gave him a matching smirk and nodded emphatically. "Oh please do. I want her to see everything, bare witness to the greatness that is my husband. I want her to be the first on her knees begging for his forgiveness, for trying to prevent his passing into this mortal world." she looked to Brandy and then back up to Derek, her face now beaming with happiness. "I'll be down in a few minutes, take her and instruct my hand maidens to come escort me to the vessel."

"Oh please do. I want her to see everything, bare witness to the greatness that is my husband. I want her to be the first on her knees begging for his forgiveness, for trying to prevent his passing into this mortal world.
It was a good thing Derek was an expert on keeping a poker face, or rather - an angry 'this b!tch deserves everything your going to give her' look. In his mind he was wondering what the hell Brandy had done to the Maenad for the personal vendetta. Maryann wanted Brandy to suffer not only having to see the death of her lover, but also to be humiliated afterward.
Derek nodded, already making his way toward her.
"I'll be down in a few minutes, take her and instruct my hand maidens to come escort me to the vessel."
Derek had Brandy untied in a flash, grabbing her roughly from behind as Maryann made her way up the stairs. He was pulling Brandy, struggling and screaming at him through the piece of duct tape. It was muffled, but Derek was almost certain some of the things she was saying toward him.
He glanced at her brown eyes for only a moment, she was furious. He couldn't blame her but he had to keep up the act as he dragged her outside and swung her around to where Sam had been strung up.
He felt her grow weak suddenly underneath his grasp. At that moment he looked toward Arlene and Jane and snarled in their direction.
"Go. Prepare your queen"
They both giggled and squealed in happiness as they went inside. Derek spoke nothing, he had reached one hand for Brandy's hair and pulled her head back so she was forced to witness the events. His other hand, gripping her hands behind her back was doing a good job of keeping her in one place. He wanted to be rough with her, to seem sadistic - if even one thing was out of place then it would risk everything.

Tied to a chair like a prisoner, roughly handled like she wasn't even a human being anymore. She was terrified of Eggs even more so than she was of Maryann. Maryann she just hated with a passion, Eggs scared the sh!t out of her.
When Maryann commanded Eggs to leave she had almost wanted to thank her, the duct tape ceased her from speaking. All this power in Brandy and she could do nothing.
"I told you I'd get him. You're cheap little parlor tricks did nothing but piss me off and more determined to have him and have you watch while he makes the greatest gift anyone can ever give, that of sacrifice. It will be glorious. He is coming, very very soon and your little doggy will be the vessel to bring him forth. Isn't that wonderful?"
Brandy struggled in her chair when Maryann spoke, if only she could get her hands on her she would tear her f*cking hair out! The expression in Brandy's dark caramel eyes said it all.
"Your vessel is here."
Oh. F*ck. As if this night couldn't get any worse. That was Derek's voice and all Brandy could do was wait and listen to the banter between them. So Maryann had a new admirer, Derek of all people. Brandy was being punished for something wasn't she? There was no other way to explain it.
"Want me to grab her? Let the little b!tch have the front row seat?"
Brandy's eye twitched.
"Oh please do. I want her to see everything, bare witness to the greatness that is my husband. I want her to be the first on her knees begging for his forgiveness, for trying to prevent his passing into this mortal world."
Beg? For forgiveness? On her knees? Sure the hell not willingly! Without warning she felt her self being untied and pulled roughly away from the chair. She struggled against Derek's hold, her muffled screams of anger doing nothing against the duct tape, but he had turned to look at her for only an instant.
For the first time she could read nothing in his eyes. Her own eyes were furious, she wanted him to know deep into his core how much she hated him. He manhandled her like she was nothing more than a rag doll, the sound of drums and laughter filled Brandy's senses and the overwhelming smell of rotten meat.
It made her stomach turn when she looked at it, but before she got to really examine it she had been turned forcefully to find herself face to face with Sam. Sam!
No! No No NO!! It felt like someone had turned her insides inside out. The moment she looked into his eyes as he hung up there, ready to be sacrificed, her heart broke it two. Her knees gave out underneath her without warning, just seeing him up with so much panic, so much fear in his eyes.
It was almost too much. The world came crashing down on her as she heard the laughter and the cheering increase around her. Derek was holding her and all she wanted to do was keep screaming. Screaming out Sam's name into the duct tape as if that alone would make the madness stop.
Without warning she felt herself being hoisted up again, Derek's hand grabbed her hair roughly and forced her to look at Sam through her now tear-stained eyes. She was struggling again, trying to helplessly get out Derek's grasp so she could save him. So she could put this all to an end.

Maryann had a tearful smile of happiness on her face, when Derek roughly took Brandy out of the chair and out from her room. Taking her towards the vessel. Maryann's excitement level was increasing exponentially. Tonight was the night, her God, her beloved Bacchus was finally going to arrive. Take her, devour her, make her one with him. Arlene and her two giggling cohorts came into Maryann's room. Arlene glowed with joy. "Oh you look...so lovely. Doesn't she girls?" Both Jane and Rosie bowed and agreed with typical giggling fervour. "Help me with my dress." Maryann ordered them all with a smile. It was finally happening, the walk down her aisle to meet her husband and for all to witness his glorious arrival. Soon she was being escorted out into the lawn, all her guests smiling at her warmly. The sound was eery quiet except for Mike Spencer who was sobbing loudly. Terry Bellefleur gave him a smack upside the head to get him to stop. Once Maryann was in place, standing in front of her meat covered effigy. She felt so serene, at peace. "Bring forth the egg!" Arlene took the egg from one of the other guests and gingerly placed into a nest like hole inside the effigy. Maryann smiled. "We are gathered here tonight, to witness the coming of the God with Horns. My husband to be. Now follow me in invoking him." Maryann stood with her arms outstretched, looking upwards to the sky and began to chant. "Lo-Lo Bromius...Lo-Lo Dendrites...Lo-Lo Eleutherios...Lo-Lo Enorches...Lo-Lo Bacchus!" The crowd joined in with the chanting over and over again until Maryann held up her hands to signal the end. She turned to Eggs, "the ceremonial dagger please Benedict!" Eggs came over and unsheathed the sharp blade and showed it to Maryann. Maryann nodded in approval. "Prepare the vessel." The crowd erupted, screaming, yelling, howling. This was the moment that they had all been waiting on. Finally blood would be spilled and the unsuspecting Bon Temps natives didn't seem to care. They were so far gone under Maryann's influence, whatever spell she had them in that nothing mattered anymore. Only excess. Debauchery. Violence. Eggs moved forward with intent towards the prone Sam Merlotte and without much hesitation plunged the blade into his chest. Pulling it out slowly and handing the bloodied weapon to his mistress. Maryann held the dagger in her hand as if it were a precious child. Some rare treasure that was long thought lost to the world. She gasped with joy and ran her fingers up the fuller of the blade. "Yes!" she cried out in absolute ecstacy. Rubbing the blood down her neck. "Come to me Dionysus! Come to me and be one with your most humble servant"
