Yes, sex really did sell - Evan knew that better than anyone. In fact, he couldn't blame Sam for his uniform of choice - he was a man like him after all. Why not dress the waitresses in nice tight shorts and very revealing white shirts? It was obvious!
"What the hell is this? You an accountant now or somethin'?"
Evan just laughed at that, still holding onto her as he shook his head.
"It wasn't like you were around to tell me to keep my long locks. I got them all chopped off when you left. And no, it had nothing to do with you - I got tired of my hair getting stuck in my helmet. Remember that bike I had a year ago? I had to get rid of it"
It was obvious, as he stepped back from Summer, that he hadn't been too happy about having to sell it. He loved that bike.
"My cousin Adam ran into a bit of trouble, I sold the bike to pay for his jail bail. Us McCallister's and Hudson's... there isn't a thing we won't do for a woman in trouble. Unfortunately for Adam.. he got thrown in the slammer and the f*ckers that threw him in turned out to be related to the little sh!t that tried to rape that girl."
There was a rare look of anger in Evan's face, and he didn't want Summer to see it so he looked toward the new big screen television to distract himself.
"They couldn't come up with a case for him, but what they did was set his bail at 25 grand because they thought none of us could come with it. Surprise, surprise I could - but I lost that bike that I loved so much. Oh well *Evan shrugs* family comes first."

Now this just wasn't fair, how could she stay mad at him when he had his arm's around her and was pulling her close? Sam knew all the ways to keep her grounded... to be her anchor.
"Even if you explained it all fully to me, I'd still be out of my depth with it all. Maybe later, when the bar has calmed down. You can tell me exactly what you did, I'll try my best not to be a dork and misunderstand you."
Brandy, by this time, was nibbling at her bottom lip.. her eyes soft as they looked in his baby blue eyes. Did he realize how much .. influence he had over her? She could turn into THE most powerful witch of Bon Temps and you know who would be influencing everything she did... ? Of course, Sam Merlotte.
"I'll give you a massage when we get home?"
Brandy nodded slowly, but that nod of course - turned playful.
"That's not all you will be giving me when we get home..."

Summer pulled a face at him. "I'm never gonna live that down am I?" she sighed, but listened to him intently as he talked about some of the things he'd been up to since they'd last saw each other. Talked about a family member who'd got caught up in some bad sh*t. When Evan looked away, Summer's face changed. Attempted rape was a little too close to home.
When he looked back to her, Summer made sure her face wasn't looking freaked out and gave him a comforting smile and before she even realised it put an arm around his shoulder, her fingertips at the bottom of his short hair. "Sucks about your bike but what you did for your cousin was a really honourable thing. You must care about your family a whole lot"
Summer had no idea what that felt like, the warmth of a family. Earlier in the evening she admitted her envy for Sam and Brandy, now she was feeling pangs of envy for the family bond she never had. She stood there for a moment, just trying to catch her breath. Everthing had happened so suddenly, but she didn't want to walk away. It had been so long since she'd been in Evan's company and he was as attractive to her as he was when he first picked her up on a Philly roadside over a year ago.
"Is anyone serving here or what?" came a brusque male voice. "Come on doll, I'm dyin' of thirst."
Summer broke out of her daze, "Uh sure, Sorry...my bad." she peeled herself away from Evan with a wistful look. "Duty calls baby"

"That's not all you will be giving me when we get home..."
Sam mirrored Brandy's playful look and smirked at her knowingly. "You bet you're very beautiful ass on it." Sam gave Brandy a loving kiss, but pulled away with a crestfallen look. "I guess I better get back out front, make sure Summer hasn't murdered any of my customers yet."
Sam smiled at Brandy, he really was sorry about there misunderstanding and would make it up to her later. Now it was back to business and the busiest night Merlotte's was having in it's almost 6 year run.

Damian was trying to listen in on Brandy's conversation, to see what the deal was. And when she found out it was something about Summer his thoughts went back to how the bar looked. And wondering where Lafayette was.
"I hope you don't mind...but..you are?"
"I am Damian," he said absently not really paying much attention until he noticed who she was and what she looked like. Her outfit was very beautiful and he could tell she wasn't a normal vampire. Due to her being at a shifters bar, which mostly only human's or part-humans ever walk in. Or she may live around here and it's a lot closer then Fangtasia. But his thoughts were interrupted yet again.
[color=Red"I see you know Brandy. And I guess she's busy. Well um...I guess your just gonna have to be stuck with me."
"I do. And so I guess I am. But it's better then being stuck alone." When he saw Sam leave he knew this was his cue to find out what Brandy was trying to say to him earlier. "Excuse me a second Belle."
Damian walked up to Brandy. "What were you saying before the accident and congress of people showed up." Damian wanted to know what Brandy was hinting at.[/color]

While looking upon the said "couple", Haylee began to feel a little sheepish for her apology. There probably should have been more then a polite "sorry," for their waiting. Still, she was actually glad they managed to stay around before speaking up again. "We've got some really good special goi'n!" Come to think of it, that little tid-bit had made her feel slightly better. It should make up for the wait. Frankly, it made Haylee glad to see the people crowd in; getting a feeling on like it used to be. Except for the large amount of numbers. Sometimes, before it was closed: It felt like a burst of people here and there. Right now, it was a explosion, trying to keep up. Once she managed to grab the couple's order, she headed right toward the kitchen.
In order to place the slip of paper down for the cooks to handle a preparation. "Welcome to Merlotte's! What can I getcha?" Greeting another customer within her station, and awaited the order to be placed. While being overwhelmed, it did take her mind off the whole: Breaking of glasses dance that had transpired. Really, she normally wasn't that much of a klutz. Upon getting the order, she yet again repeated a step of going toward the kitchen and placing a slip of paper down. Haylee then made her way toward the bar, checking on the customers sitting there. Wondering if things were going smoothing for the other workers.

"Duty calls baby"
Evan nodded as Summer left his arms, but he couldn't help but to give the guy that beckoned her a glare. A glare and a low growl, which made the man clench up physically. Evan was an intimidating man when he wanted to be, after all.
Evan took his seat beside Brandy again, he already felt like he knew the witch. And he was intrigued by her, mainly because he hadn't seen a witch with as much power as her. His eyes glanced over at Damian even more curiously.
Interesting. Another were, this witch was surrounded with the dual - natured, maybe it was a preference of her's? Better werewolves and the two-natured than vampires, Evan thought to himself. He hated vampires, and he could smell at least two of them. He decided to bother Brandy for her name after word, his attention turned to Sam. Just what was the shifter's story?

Brandy had wanted to keep Sam in the office all night, but that wasn't going to happen. Not tonight - they were super busy with the grand reopening. Brandy had come out from the office, to see Evan sitting down with his leg across her empty chair.
Apparently he was saving the seat for her, but his eyes were on Sam for some reason. When Brandy walked up to him, she lightly tapped his leg so that he would move it for her.
"My name is Brandy, by the way, you are probably wondering again after your reunion with Summer. I've never seen her so happy"
"It's been a while since we have seen each other. Your boyfriend there, you two have been an item for awhile?"
Brandy looked at Sam and nodded.
"He care's a lot about you. There is a certain look a man give's a woman and dewdrop, that look is all about you"
"What were you saying before the accident and congress of people showed up."
Oh. That was Damian's voice, she didn't know where he went and for a moment she had forgot he was talking to her. And that meant.. she had forgot what they were talking about.
"You know what Damian.. I really don't remember"

Sam and Brandy had made there way back into the bustle of the busy bar. Summer seemed to be coping well, he was actually impressed as he half expected to bodies littered across the floor. Beaten and battered. Instead she was lively, chatty and making a huge impression on his customers.
Brandy took her seat next to the Were and she started talking to him again. What was it Summer called him? Evan? Brandy noted on how outwardly happy Summer was to have him around. Sam too had noticed the change in her demeanour.
"He care's a lot about you. There is a certain look a man give's a woman and dewdrop, that look is all about you"
Sam arched an eyebrow when he realised he was being talked about. He moved round towards Brandy and stood close to her and he nodded and gave a cat that got the cream grin. "Yup, this is my girl." after all the issues of the past, Sam couldn't help but show his possessive side toward Brandy. So many men had tried to come between them and he was taking no chances with this newcomer.

Summer found her stride behind the bar and essentially took complete control. It was just like riding a bike. The more orders she took the more she just served with ease. One of Summer's favourite songs came on the jukebox, Bawitdaba by Kid Rock* and she grinned and she began to shimmy along with the music. Tonight was turning out to be a really fun night to be in Merlotte's. Everyone was having a great time for the most part. Her eyes caught Sam and Brandy coming back out into the front and Brandy took her usual seat, only this time it was Evan and not Summer that was sitting next to her. She threw a smile there way and continued to serve and shimmy. Over the music, the chatter and general din of the bar Summer overheard part of a conversation, but it made her almost blush. I've never seen her so happy" Was she really that obvious? And if she was, did she even care? She was happy and dammit she deserved to be happy. Summer smirked as she saw Sam give off his 'me Tarzan, she Jane' type looks towards Evan. He could be a total shmuck sometimes. Then she found her eyes lingering back on Evan. A lull in the orders had happened and she just couldn't help herself. She almost had to shake herself literally at the fact that he was here, in Bon Temps, in Merlotte's and just a few feet away. It didn't matter to her that Brandy had interfered, she meant well and at the end of the day if Evan didn't want to be here. He could leave, couldn't he? The thought actually scared Summer. Now he was here and back in her life, she didn't want him to leave her. Even though karma would most likely dictate that he should. She got her head back on straight and moved towards his end of the bar and leant on the counter top. "So...." she paused, considering her words carefully. "can I get you somethin'" It wasn't quite what she had originally had in mind to ask him. But she could ask him his plans later. There was plenty of time for what he was planning to do with his time later. *not full song...cuts off, but whatever

"You know what Damian.. I really don't remember"
"It's okay."
Damian looked up at her, trying to remember what they were talking about but couldn't really think of it...something about looks and lonliness was all that caught his mind. And by that he really didn't want to know the rest.
"Well we shouldn't leave Belle all on her own."
Damian began walking back to the vampire hoping Brandy would follow close behind and not leave him all by his self.
"Belle."
He then remembered her dance moves and how much he liked dancing.
" 'Scuse me Brandy but Belle I noticed your dancing..And I thought you were pretty good." He smiled sweetly before looking up and taking her hand. It was a strange feeling one he didn't like much. Dancing with a Vampire but he was bored. "Would you like to dance?"

Belle looked up as Damian came back, wondering exactly what happened. She was always going into her vampire stare and ignoring everyone and everything else. So she jumped as Damian came towards her.
"'Scuse me Brandy but Belle I noticed your dancing..And I thought you were pretty good. Would you like to dance?"
"Sure."
That was all she could say before getting up and looking at Damian. Took his hand and led him to the dance floor before letting him do whatever it was that he wanted to do.

I need a break. Haylee thought, despite checking on the customers at the bar and wondering about everyone else; now lifting a palm. Directing it to massage the side of her forehead, while trying to see if she could afford a break. Which is "probably not," though every now and then: You had to go wild. She didn't even know the definition and sat where there looked to be a free space. She also needed a drink, something a little easygoing; she still had to work. Her stare would focus on a rather familiar being, her speech slightly lagged along. "S-..s-Summer?" Why in the world is she wearing a uniform? That might be a good question to ask, though it was nice to see a recognizable face. "I need a lite, um drink? Before I collapse here!" She managed to get a small hold back on her speech, if only for a moment.

((OOC: Permission to post given))
Evan didn't get a chance to even reply as Haylee stumbled over and on the verge of near collapse. She stated Summer's name curiously, obviously surprised to see her here and behind the bar serving drinks. Summer turned back to Evan and held her finger up, "just one sec hot stuff." and there the words just came out of nowhere. It was almost like a pet name for him. Summer turned back to Haylee. "Take a d*mn seat girl and I'll getcha something." she looked concerned for the young waitress, she was very visibly stressed and tired.
Summer turned her back to the front of the bar to grab a can of diet coke from the small chiller below her and poured it into a highball glass. Perching a slice of lime onto the edge of the glass. She spun back round and handed the drink to the pretty blonde. "Relax honey. You've earned a break." she stole a glance over at Sam and Brandy and gave them both a warm smile.
Summer re-focussed on Evan, repositioning herself against the bar counter almost as if she'd never moved to get Haylee her drink. "Sorry about that." she held her hands up to emphasise the apology. "Busy night. Now..where was I? Oh yeah...can I get you anything? Something to eat...a beer?"
