Alright. So Brandy wouldn't admit it to anyone, but what had happened just moments earlier had stung. Just a little. She made it a point, now that she was sitting alone, to avoid eye contact with Jason Stackhouse and the new "dish of the night" as much as possible.
Though she could hear them, that was irritating enough. A sigh left her lips as her stomach growled and she felt the lump in her throat. She had to remember some vampires were like that, after all, and that you would not get along with everyone.
She wondered when her food would be ready. The sooner she could eat the sooner she could get out of here and not have to see the painful display that currently was happening stage right.

Lafayette was completely oblivious to what had been going on between Jason and his girls. Although he did take a moment from his usual cooking when he heard the door open. A pretty blonde Vampire had just walked in and naturally, he noticed Jason was unable to take his eyes off her. He also noticed Jason was with another girl, who looked hurt when she realized what he was doing. "Jason Stackhouse, you dumbass motherf**ker." Lafayette murmured to himself but decided it was not his place to go barging in. If he were straight, he would've hit on the girl Jason was with at the table because she was drop dead gorgeous. Turning back to the food he was preparing, Lafayette took his eyes off of the girl and continued to cut the tomatoes.

Sam looked across the bar, Jason was now with the blonde vampire. He shook his head in disdain at how completely foolish Jason was being. If he only had half the smarts his sister had. The girl looked utterly disapointed though she was trying to hide it. He couldn't fault her for it, Jason is a man driven by his hormones and oblivious to pretty much everything else when they start boiling over.
Sam debated about going over to talk to her. But what to say? Hey there, sorry about Jason but he rarely thinks with the right head No, he wouldn't be so crass. When her food was ready, he'd take it over to her personally. She looked like she needed a friendly face.
Wandering over to the kitchen, resting his arm on the countertop he gave a small smile as he watched Lafayette shimmy and shake his way through orders. "Hey Lafayette, is that girls order ready?" he discreetly nodded over to her.

Lafayette stopped his dancing to look over at his boss, the one person who he actually called by their name. His eyes followed Sam's nod and they fell on the girl he had noticed before. "Just about, Sam." He said, taking his eyes off of her once more and laying them on Sam. "Gimme a few more minutes then you can take it to her." He went back to cooking but after a few minutes he looked back at Sam. "I think that fine ass hookah could use some lovin'." He said simply, hinting that Sam should go over and talk to her.

Well, it was a good thing Sookie wasn't around - the kind of thoughts rummaging through Brandy's head right now would of made Sookie thought the girl was a little crazy. Thoughts of tracking down her old coven and putting a hex on the blond vampire - nothing terribly awful of course, just give the girl warts all over her face or a really REALLY big ass.
Only problem with that was the coven, who hated vampires, would of probably came up with something much more mean than Brandy ever could.
Just...
"Just why the hell did that girl have to flaunt herself like that?!"
Oh. Whoops. That was out loud. She glanced at a waitress and smiled sheepishly.
"Uh.. can I get another one of these please? And darn it, make it a double!"

Jason was getting really mad now. Just because he looked a girl...sh*t that wasn't even a girl. It was a vampire and lord take it all they were more than human, in the looks department anyway. As Jason walked up to her he could see Lafayette rolling his eyes from behind the grill. Was he getting that predictable?
"BB, what are you doing? I don't understand what just happened? Did I say something?" He couldn't really believe that she would be so angry over a look.

"I think that fine ass hookah could use some lovin'." Lafayette brazenly stated, giving Sam his trademark look. Sam flushed slightly, the girl was gorgeous for sure but he wasn't going to sleaze all over her. She deserved better than that. He'd make an open disagreement with his short order cook, but that'd only leave him open for more witty zingers aimed his way.
He leaned his head back over towards her to see Jason was now back at her. He felt a little deflated, Jason's charm and charisma would leave most men in the dust. He sighed, resigned to defeat at the hands of Jason.

"BB, what are you doing? I don't understand what just happened? Did I say something?"
Huh? That was Jason's voice. Why did he leave the girl?
"Uh... Jason... "
Well this was awkward. Did he really not know? She had to explain it to him?
"Jason, your a great guy but I uh.. I was going to have something to eat with - "
And she pointed at Sam.
"Him."
It would be embarrassing if he didn't notice that she pointed at him, but she also didn't want to leave Jason hanging with just that. She didn't want to hurt him, and that would surely be a blow to his pride.
"Listen, Jason, I like you - so I will be honest with you.You were making eyes at that blond vampire. I don't blame you in the slightest, I mean she is gorgeous and so are you. So go get to her, because hun - I'm not your type. But we can be friends if you like, I just can't offer you what she can"
And that, was the best that Brandy could offer Jason - her friendship.

Sam was now suddenly feeling very self concious. The pretty girl just pointed directly at him. He couldn't make out what she was saying to Jason, but he didn't look happy at all. Times like this he wished for Sookie's ability. He hoped to God that Lafayette completely missed it, he'd have a field day with that one.
Rather than make himself look conspicuous, Sam began to flit about behind the bar. Looking like he was doing anything but watch the carnage. He grabbed an empty high ball glass and began cleaning it out rigourously, trying not to look forwards.

Belle walked in to Merlotte's. Her favorite hangout since she's been in Bon Temps. There were humans, vampires and shifters all over the place. She could smell a shifter and he was cute. There were a lot of pretty humans, too. She walked up to the really cute shifter.
"Hello," she smiled. "I am Belle and very new to Bon Temps." She held her hand out to the shifter. She thought he was cute when she came in with Jessica one night and she couldn't remember if Jess told her his name. Then it dawned on her, his name was Sam Merlotte Bar Owner and Shifter. "Can I please have an AB Positive," she said in her normal sweet tone. She might of been a vampire but she was one of the sweetest. She could never hate anyone or anything. Including Shifters.

Sam almost never heard the voice call over to him, introducing herself. He shook himself back into the here and now and looked toward the female figure of where the voice came from. He tried to hide his disdain as he knew instantly it was a Vampire. She had her arm outstretched, which was distinctly unusual for a Vampire to do, and had a look as if butter wouldn't melt.
He forced a smile to be polite, this was his place after all and he had to show courtesy. "Hey, welcome to Bon Temps" she made an order for a TruBlood and Sam smiled politely again "Sure, no problem. Just take a seat and I'll get someone to bring it out to ya"
All the while this brief conversation was going on, he hoped he'd get a chance to at least get the pretty girl Jason was talking to's name. It wasn't normal for Sam to open up but there was something about this girl, something that drew her to him.

She of course smiled back. "Okay." she said sweetly and sat next to a girl who was fighting with her boyfriend. The humans were both pretty. She could sense something magical about the girl but the guy was just a pretty human. But she would never be with one like that.
There had to be a reason for that fight and it couldn't be something good. Her Tru Blood came and she opened it and downed it in a second. Now her thirst was quenched. She was gonna dance. She got up and dance around the bar. She could dance to anything and everything without making a fool of herself.

Well, there was a lot of action going around Brandy and Jason. Though, for some reason, the blond vampire that had started the rift in the first place was nowhere to be seen. Brandy found it quite unusual, and she was confused. That was when Brandy heard another voice, another beautiful woman - another vampire. Was Jason a vampire magnet?
"Hello, I am Belle and very new to Bon Temps."
Oh. She was flirting with the cute bartender. And Brandy was still waiting for her food. She wasn't rude, so she wouldn't interrupt, and she didn't want to ignore Jason either - but she couldn't help to wonder if she needed to go home and practice her flirting skills.. or something..
For the moment, she was torn away from Jason to watch the interaction between the vampire and the guy she wanted to get to know better.
"Can I please have an AB Positive,"
"Sure, no problem. Just take a seat and I'll get someone to bring it out to ya"
Then he looked at her. Well, he was either looking at her or looking at Jason. The vampire had said her thanks, took her drink, but then headed for the dance floor. Finally, Brandy decided to speak up -
"Um.."
Well, almost spoke up. She was getting those stupid butterflies when she tried to speak to him.
"...You are coming to eat with me right? You look like you are getting hungry"
Wooooow.... Brandy blew that one! Jason was right there, she was still waiting for his reaction, and the very guy she told Jason she was having a meal with had NO idea she had said she was having a meal with him! This was not like her at all.

Jason was shocked. There weren't many girls who didn't like him like that and to top everything off BB wanted to have dinner with Sam! Jason's jaw dropped slightly and he snapped it shut. He liked Sam but he had picture Sam with someone more like his sister.
"Dang BB, I didn't realize that you were here for Sam. I wouldn't have flagged you down if you were taken. I'm not that kind of guy you know. As for that blonde, she was a vampire and I don't see to many of those around here..." He stopped talking when he heard the brunette ask for an AB negative..."Sh*t, I don't even know what is going on here anymore. I have been out of town and apparently Bon Temps is the new vampire breeding ground."
Jason looked around and the blonde vampire was no where to be seen and now he was really stung. He couldn't even try to make BB jealous. He slung back the rest of his beer, along with the remainder of his pride and turned to face BB.
"Friends? You just would like to be friends? I hate to break it to ya girl but we already are...remember. You still owe me 3 answers to 3 questions whenever you are done with your boyfriend." He flagged Sam for another beer. Jason had a feeling he would need to drown his sorrows.

Cristina walked back into the room and looked around. She seat back at her table. She didn't understand why no know had come up to her. She crossed her legs as she set there. She wonder what Bill would say if he knew she was here. She sighed and started to get up to leave.
