"Thank you, I just wanted to look nice for you tonight, and you look nice too. Seeing you in black jeans feels like a real treat" Sam flushed ever so slightly. "Aw thanks. I don't often wear these, but I thought what the hell." Sam was flattered by her compliment, but tried to keep his reply flippant and laid back.
Sam locked up the duplex, using his spare set. Why did he bring them? He was off duty? Best to be safe than sorry he told himself.
"Have any idea what we are going to see? I don't really do good with horror flicks, I will probably end up hiding my face in your chest all night"
"You know I haven't even thought much about that." his face was apologetic. "Let's see what they have on. But I promise no scary movies." he almost finished his sentence there are enough scary monsters in Bon Temps but thought better of it. Though the thought of her snuggled in close to him was a very tempting image.
He motioned her towards the truck and opened the passenger door and held his hand out for her to help her up into the raised cab.

"You know I haven't even thought much about that. Let's see what they have on. But I promise no scary movies."
So far so good, she had managed to keep her uh, hormones in check. When she brushed past him, she had paused for moment and took that moment to gaze into his eyes. It was silent, but not uncomfortable, just a moment.
She smiled, and climbed up onto the seat using his hand as a push. Casually putting her seat belt on. She was slipping into the flow, so to speak, though she had to be honest with herself.
She was on a track, Sam was on a different track, and her track was going faster than his. This was the time she had to slow down, reverse, and let him catch up before she passed him entirely and lost him.
"Well, I think they are playing that new Transformer's movie.. or there is that Disney flick 'UP'. I heard that was suppose to be really good. I will probably get a little teary-eyed during the emotional parts."

As Brandy walked past him to get up into the cab of his Dodge Ram, she paused for a moment and gazed into his eyes. He looked right back into them. They were a really deep brown and soulful. He helped her up into the cabin and she put on her seatbelt right away. He closed the passenger door once he saw she was safely inside and walked round to the drivers side and opened the door and climbed aboard.
Glancing round towards her, just to have another quick glimpse of those eyes. She began to speak. "Well, I think they are playing that new Transformer's movie.. or there is that Disney flick 'UP'. I heard that was suppose to be really good. I will probably get a little teary-eyed during the emotional parts." Sam paused for thought and smiled.
"Whatever you want to see is fine with me." he put his arm out in a gesture to back up his statement. He was more than happy for her to choose the movie. It was just nice to spend time with someone. The fact that this certain someone was a gorgeous woman who made no secret of her interest in him, made him feel warm inside.

"Whatever you want to see is fine with me."
Brandy had nodded, sitting quietly in the passenger side as the truck kicked to life and she found herself looking out the side window as they began to move. There wasn't anything on her mind, relatively anyway, Sam had one hand on the wheel and his other hand by his side.
She couldn't help it, her slender digits had reached for his and she intertwined her fingers around his elegantly. It seemed not long at all before they were pulling up to a booth and Brandy had let her hand slip from his so that she could look at the drive thru.
It was a typical drive-thru, though this was her first time being in one but she had seen them a lot in the movies. The two screens were large and were back to back. Also a few scattered cars were in either one, but it was pretty quiet. She wondered if anyone they knew was there.
At the booth Brandy had decided UP was the best choice. It wouldn't keep her up at night and it looked funny. They also got some 3D glasses to go with it. Sam in 3D glasses? That would be funny!
After a quick stop for some popcorn and pop, they had settled into a parking space and Brandy had rolled down her window to let some fresh air in. The credits had began playing and she put on the 3D glasses with a grin.
"Heh, what do you think? Are they me?"

"Heh, what do you think? Are they me?" Brandy said with a huge grin. Amused at the silly glasses they make you wear for 3D movies. Sam turned round to look at her, glasses perched firmly on the bridge of his nose. "We look hot" he laughed, "We put Brad and Angelina to shame with these babies on"
Sam felt so relaxed in Brandy's company. Alone with her and no means of interuption. He smiled and lay a huge box of popcorn he'd bought at the concession stand, between them and said with a wide grin. "Want some" his tone was of a mock tease. Oh yeah he was enjoying himself tonight.

"We put Brad and Angelina to shame with these babies on"
Brandy laughed, and at that note, the movie had roared to life and Brandy couldn't help but to 'oooooo' when the first 3D'ness of the flick was portrayed in front of her. She wanted to reach out and grab at the animation, and then Sam had interrupted her thoughts.
"Want some?"
She lifted up her glasses and nodded, snaking her hand into the popcorn tub and pulling out a handful. There was nothing quite like warm, buttery and salted movie popcorn to make your night.
"Holy crap, animation sure has come a long way hasn't it?"
It was hard to be impressed by things like magic and vampires, when something as simple as 3D art had come so far.

"Holy crap, animation sure has come a long way hasn't it?" Sam smiled and nodded in agreement. "It sure has, I'm still stuck in the days of Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck." he giggled at the thought.
By now the movie was in full swing and he stayed as silent as he could. Let Brandy enjoy the movie, he thought. He was just happy to be in her company and not feel akward or strange. His mind wandered back to the drive here and he smiled as he remembered her hand in his. Glancing over at her face, filled with awe at the Pixar movie. She was beautiful, breathtakingly so and she made it clear she wanted him and him alone. She made him feel so good about himself.
He moved his hand over towards her, hesitating and pulling it back slightly unsure of if this was the right thing to do. Deciding just to go ahead, he took her hand gently and wrapped his around it.

This was.. well, it was so nice! The movie was vibrant and interesting, and Brandy was there with a guy she really enjoyed being around and wasn't afraid to let him (everyone) know it.
Sometimes though, she did wonder if she had already blown it. Sure, Sam was there with her but it was always her making any move. Not that she minded she just - well, she was also a hot-blooded woman and - -
Oh. She felt a hand in hers. And it wasn't something she had intuited. It was him. Her heart felt like it skipped a couple beats and she squeezed his hand back in response.
But, she made no other move. She forced herself to completely ignore the sexy, musclar, and oh-so-good smelling man beside her - and pay attention to the movie.
In all her life, it seemed like the hardest thing. And of course, during the sad part she had movie-tears streaming down her cheeks. Finally, when the movie drew to its close she had removed her glasses - and looked at Sam with a soft smile.
"That movie was great! What should we do now? The paintball game is well, in a few hours, did you just want to come over and crash on the couch again?"

Sam enjoyed the movie, but enjoyed just sitting with Brandy with her hand in his. It felt right, no matter his reservations and he didn't really want the good feeling to end. He'd noticed she'd been a bit tearful during the movie and he opened up his glove box and rummaged around. He grabbed a packet of tissues and was about to hand them over when she turned to him, taking off the 3D glasses.
"That movie was great! What should we do now? The paintball game is well, in a few hours, did you just want to come over and crash on the couch again?"
"Yeah, it was pretty good." he smiled at her and handed her the tissue packet, "incase you need 'em" Sam thought over her questions. What to do now? He didn't need to be in to the bar till later and had posted a note in the front window about late opening times.
He debated with himself about staying over. Was it too much of a temptation? It made sense to stay there though, he reasoned with himself. Driving Brandy home then the trek back to the double wide would only take more time out of the day. "Sure, makes sense rather than making two trips" he said, trying not to smile too much. Don't want to look over eager, he mused. "Though I will need a change of clothes" he frowned a little before smiling again. "Ah we can work it out later."

"Yeah, it was pretty good."
Brandy agreed of course, it was just nice that she could share his company and that he didn't think she was childish for wanting to see the 'family' movie. When he handed her the tissues she laughed and dabbed her eyes with a couple of them.
She noticed he was hesitant on her question about staying on the couch again. Guess that kiss she gave him a couple days ago was still affecting him and she felt bad for it. If it didn't happen, he probably wouldn't of been hesitating. Stupid Brandy!
"Sure, makes sense rather than making two trips"
She couldn't help but to let out a sigh of relief.
"Though I will need a change of clothes Ah we can work it out later."
"Well, you certainly will. Gotta get all combat - like, can't be wearing no blue plaid shirts to play paint ball silly! Let's swing by your trailer on the way back to my place"
At least that way, they wouldn't be scrambling in the morning.

Sam blushed a little as Brandy teased him playfully about his penchant for plaid shirts. What could he say? He liked them. They were comfortable and most of all were good for work.
Let's swing by your trailer on the way back to my place" her words surprised him, though it made sense. "Sure, that's probably the best idea" he smiled at her warmly and drove his truck out of the parking area and back onto the road and towards his trailer.

. "Sure, that's probably the best idea"
"Well, I've been told I'm full of them"
Brandy smirked as they drove away from the drive thru and headed back onto the road. The road to Merlotte's was getting to be a familiar one, even as they pulled up the sign seemed to be a beacon in the darkness.
The truth was, Brandy hadn't been in Sam's trailer and while she was curious to know what it looked like - she respected his privacy and made no notion to want to go inside.
"I'll wait out here while you go and get what you need for tomorrow'
Besides, the truck was already warm and comfortable and she was sure that being a guy Sam probably wouldn't need long to grab a change of clothes.
She was looking forward to their game, but even more so she was looking forward to him spending yet another night in her place. At this rate, he might as well move in!

Sam and Brandy were soon at Merlotte's, so he parked the truck close by to his trailer and made his way out of the cab, he looked at BB sort of expecting her to follow him.
"I'll wait out here while you go and get what you need for tomorrow' he was about to protest, but realised it would be quicker if he just slipped in and back out with what he needed. So he jumped out of the cab and looked up towards her. "I'll be no more than 5 minutes." he claimed and turned quickly to run up the small set of steps leading to the double wide.
Turning his key in the lock he looked over his shoulder quickly at his truck and smiled hoping Brandy would see it. He walked inside and switched on the light to the main sitting area. He grunted at the mess and was relieved Brandy decided to stay in the warmth of the cab of the Dodge.
Moving into his bedroom, which was a modest little area with an unmade bed, a chest of drawers, closet and a bedside table on either side of the unmade double bed. He grabbed a t-shirt and jeans from the drawer, some clean underwear and then into the bathroom to get some toiletries.
Throwing them haphazardly into a navy blue backpack, Sam made his way out and turned the light off. Locking the door behind him he jogged over to his truck and climbed back aboard.
"Ready" he stated, throwing the backpack under his feet.

Brandy, as always, had been watching Sam intently. His movements had given away that he had expected her to go into the trailer with him. She smiled at the thought, he was opening up to her and being together with her as much as possible. She hadn't blown it after all.
But both of them knew if she went in, it would probably be awhile before they got to leaving. She would want to look around and admire everything - maybe snuggle underneath a blanket as she waited. Her mind was wandering again and before she knew it, he was back beside her once again.
"Ready"
"That was quick. Say, have you ever played paintball before Sam?"
As they headed back toward her duplex, she figured she had better ask. Maybe they would have an advantage, she even remembered playing a couple times when she was in her teens. It was great!

"That was quick. Say, have you ever played paintball before Sam?" Brandy asked as they headed towards the her duplex. "Yeah, I don't need much. Just a change of clothes and my toothbrush" he laughed softly. "You know, I haven't." he stated, almost a little embarassed. "Never really had the opportunity until now."
He felt his lips curl into a smile, "Until now that is." he couldn't help himself. He was becoming more and more relaxed in her company. "I'm real glad I get to share my first time with you." he rolled his eyes noting how bad it sounded. "You know what I mean." he looked relieved when he saw the row of duplexes appear over the horizon and turned the truck deftly into it's parking space.
Grabbing his rucksack and the keys out of the ignition. He un-buckled and got out of the cab and made his way round to the passenger side. He opened the passenger door and reached his hand up towards Brandy. "Hop on down."
