The heat between Brandy and Sam was so intense that he was surprised the lake wasn't bubbling over. If Brandy hadn't pulled away and dunked her head in the cool lake water, things may have gotten even more intense.
"Maybe tomorrow night.. we can even have a little phone sex?"
Sam's eyes widened and his boyish grin crossed his lips. "Well, I'll have to make sure I can get a little privacy for that." he kissed her on the forehead. "I'm the boss, I can make my excuses."
Sam pulled away, he had to being in such close proximity and the intensity of the night. It was for the best. He had to change the mood or else he would just throw caution to the wind and risk an intimate encounter.
He lowered himself into the water and as he drew himself back up he ran his hands through the lake and splashed Brandy with one sweep.

"Well, I'll have to make sure I can get a little privacy for that."
Brandy's heart was pounding, and the kiss on her forehead didn't help with that emotion.
"I'm the boss, I can make my excuses."
"Sam... this isn't fair..."
She was breathing heavily, she couldn't help her chest heaving up and down from her arousal. The beauty of the full moon, the erotic feel of the water, the thought of phone sex with him when she was miles away...
".. All I want to do is just get naked and make love to you right here. Your not making it easy to resist you Sam.."
He had good timing. She was about to protest when he slipped away from her and went under the water. When he came out of the water, her mouth was open - and she got a face full of water in her mouth.
There was a pause, her eyes closed and she ended up spitting out a mouthful into the lake. What a devil!
"I'm going to get you for that, Sam!"
Brandy cracked a smile and jumped in the water toward him, she was hoping to latch onto him from behind and dunk him into the water - that water didn't taste all that great!
She had her arms hooking around his shoulders from behind, a grin on her face as she kissed his cheek before she lifted up and put all her weight onto his shoulders. He was naturally stronger than her, sure, but in the water she had just a chance as much as he did right?
"And you had better be keeping your phone on, mister, if I can't get a hold of you even for a moment, I'm going to worry sick!"

The party had been going on for quite some time. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, letting themselves be swept up in the moment. Embracing the selves they lock away in the deepest, darkest corners of there minds. It filled Maryann with such happiness, such fulfillment. It was exactly the reason she was here.
Out in the woods she could be free of pretenses. Let her guard truly down and commune with the Mother Goddess. It felt beyond divine, she could almost feel his touch. He was close, so very close. Soon he'd be among them.
Maryann's thoughts dwelled to the handsome but very dead stranger that arrived at the party. He was a Vampire of course, but there was something very intriguing about him. Something different, he was not like any other bloodsucker she had came across before.
She shrugged the memory off. As handsome as he was, he was not her God. Her beloved Bacchus.
The sound of laughter and splashing water caught Maryann's attention. She walked towards it, coming to the edge of the trees. She observed a frisky couple in the water and she smiled. This was exactly the sort of interaction that drew her to this sleepy town.
The woman was very beautiful. Soft dark skin, long black hair and with a figure Aphrodite herself would envy. The man had a sense of the familiar, like they had met already. Then he turned round and Maryann let out an inaudible gasp. "Sam Merlotte" she whispered and giggled to herself.
"So Sam has a lover" she whispered to herself with a grin. She watched as they embraced and splashed around in the lake. Just looking at them one would be able to tell just how in love they were.
She knew exactly what she had to do. Turning on her bare heels she walked back to her house and to see how her guests were behaving, or misbehaving.

"I'm going to get you for that, Sam!"
And get him she did. She leaped toward him, grasping him from behind. Her arms tightly around his shoulders, she placed a kiss on his cheek. But it was a distraction tactic, as she clambered up his back and onto his shoulders. Sam felt himself being weighed down, struggling to keep them both above water.
"And you had better be keeping your phone on, mister, if I can't get a hold of you even for a moment, I'm going to worry sick!"
Sam's grip on Brandy's legs slipped and he felt himself falling backwards. Hitting the water hard. "sh*t!" he cried out as he brought himself back up to the surface.
He refocussed on her last words and got his breath back. "You don't need to worry about me. My phone is with me all the time. Call me anytime, day or night."
The urge to shift was rising again. "I...I gotta get out of the water." he said with staggered breaths. "change coming again."

Uh oh. Bad move. Brandy wasn't thinking about it, she was just playing around. Sure enough, however, she had succeeded in getting Sam in the water but it also sent her back as well. She landed with a thud and right after he came up so did she. She hoped she hadn't of went too far...
"You don't need to worry about me. My phone is with me all the time. Call me anytime, day or night."
"I didn't hurt you did I?"
"I...I gotta get out of the water, change coming again."
He was heading toward the dock, and Brandy had swam toward the ladder and climbed out after him. She was dripping wet, and she was shivering as she reached for her dress.
She preferred it in the water.
"I'm surprised you lasted as long as you did.. did you really do that just for me Sam?"

"I'm surprised you lasted as long as you did.. did you really do that just for me Sam?"
Sam pulled himself up the ladder after her, the strain showing on his face. He nodded, "Who else was I doin' it for?" he smiled up at her, his body shivvering. Steam billowing off him from his excessive body temperature. Shifters of all kinds have higher than normal body heat, but shifting only made go that bit higher.
He crawled over towards her, laying at her feet. "Thank you for making this night even better for me." He reached out his hand towards her. "Thank you."

The steam rolling off his body, made him look like a piece of burning toast. Why she compared it to burning toast she didn't know, it just came in her head without much of a thought.
He had crawled over to her, laying at her feet and she knew at any moment his form would change back to that of the collie. She took in a soft breath and leaned forward, lightly brushing the hair away that had fell in front of his eyes.
"Thank you for making this night even better for me."
Brandy nodded, reaching for out for his hand when she saw him reaching out for her's.
"Thank you."
Her fingers entangled in his and she squeezed his hand tightly, bending down to kiss the top of his knuckles with her lips before she eased away from him. Her dress was a little damp, and stuck to her almost uncomfortably but it was no matter - the moon wouldn't be there for very much longer. 3 more hours Brandy had figured, maybe 3 1/2...
Night never lasted as long as the day, and that was just fine for her.

After Sam reached out to Brandy, everything became a blur. His skin was hot and irritable and the vibrations started again. Within seconds he was back to his collie form and was sitting next to Brandy, his paw in her hand.
He wagged his tail gently and pulled his paw away and lay down next to her. He knew he'd not see her again with his human eyes till sunrise. But that was okay, it was just good to be here with her. He rest his head on her lap. Life was good.

It seemed Sam didn't want to run any longer, and as he sat there with his head on her lap she could feel the most gentlest of swaying on the pier. She was petting him slowly, her hand smoothing down his fur from his head along his body - and her eyes focused on the lake that stretched ahead.
"Something in the air tonight Sam. It brings a chill to my bones but I can't quite place it at all."
She was focused on rubbing his ears, scratching under his chin, just comforting him as he laid there much like she would a real dog. Though, to her, Sam was a real dog - and a real human, it seemed a bit over whelming but she tended not to dwell too much on it.
"It won't be too much longer, my love, the moon will set and the sun will rise. But it feels like, something is about to happen you know? Something big. I can't explain it. All I know is that it is in the air."
And it was bad. But she didn't want to worry him. It would just make him feel worse about the whole thing so she decided to change the subject.
"In the morning, I'll make us something nice."

Sam enjoyed laying beside her in collie form. It was relaxing and comforting to know she didn't judge him or make him feel less human because of it. Being abandoned by your foster parents when they discover your secret, makes it harder for you to trust another with your secret. But Brandy was so good about it, he was happy to just snuggle with her.
Sam's eyes blinked open, his skin felt warm. His eyes shot open and he brought a hand to his face. He raised his head up slightly and was blinded by the early morning sun. "Must've fallen asleep" he whispered as he gently eased himself up. He saw Brandy laying beside him and his lips upturned into a smile. Then he began to worry, she'd been laying out with him all night in a wet dress. She didn't look concerned though, she looked peaceful and serene and very very beautiful.
He really was the luckiest guy on earth.

How they fell asleep, she didn't know. The last thing she remembered was laying down with Sam's head in her lap and just closing her eyes a little. When she blinked her eyes awake she saw Sam just looking at her - completely nude with the goofiest grin on his face.
She let out a yawn, how long had they been sleeping like this? Good thing nobody had come by, how could they explain something like this?
"You better get your jeans on hun, we don't know if there are any early rising fisherman that use this lake"
She stood up, shaking slightly as she rubbed her bare arms for warmth. She hoped there was no fish in that lake, just the thought that one might of been close to biting her toes the other night made her squeamish.
"I remember saying I was going to make breakfast. Do we have to run by the store to pick up some supplies first? Last time I checked your fridges were pretty empty"

Brandy slowly stirred and her eyes blinked open and when she saw Sam in his very naked human form beside her she just grinned. Nope, no weirdness at all. "You better get your jeans on hun, we don't know if there are any early rising fisherman that use this lake"
Sam looked down and back up with a grin, then his face fell. "Sh*t! You're right. I almost got busted around here once before." his mind recalled the time Andy and Terry Bellefleur were out early morning fishing and he ran past them at high speed, butt naked. That took a lot of explaining to do.
"I remember saying I was going to make breakfast. Do we have to run by the store to pick up some supplies first? Last time I checked your fridges were pretty empty"
Sam sat upright and gave his beard a scratch. "We could buy in whatever you want. I'm not gonna see you for days, may as well make this one a doozy."

. "Sh*t! You're right. I almost got busted around here once before."
Brandy's eyes widened, he got busted before? She could only imagine, but that look on his face was priceless. She was glad she had remembered to at least bring his jeans with her and she nudged her head toward the shore of the lake.
"Well, it's a good thing one of us is thinking ahead. Besides, at least if anyone was going to come by it isn't too unusual for a man and his woman to be at the lake on such a beautiful morning"
Brandy clasped her hands behind her back and began to walk along the pier and toward the shore - she stopped as he mentioned going all out for breakfast and that brought a smile to her face.
"Let's find a restaurant then, might as well have people serve you for a change right?"

"Well, it's a good thing one of us is thinking ahead. Besides, at least if anyone was going to come by it isn't too unusual for a man and his woman to be at the lake on such a beautiful morning"
Sam's eyes followed hers to where lay his blue jeans from earlier. He smiled with relief. He wasn't an unconfident man, being a shifter meant a lot of time being naked. But being caught by people who don't know about anything supernatural other than Vampires just raises too many questions.
"Could you?" he asked Brandy with a smile. Hoping she'd get the gist of what he meant.
"Let's find a restaurant then, might as well have people serve you for a change right?"
"That sounds great, but you sure you don't wanna change or anything first?"

"Could you?"
"Oh, of course"
Brandy reached for his jeans, grabbing them in her slender hands as she made her way over to him and passed them over. She had gave him a tilt of her head, and a quirky smile - he had one of the best bodies she had ever seen.
Scratch that. One of the best bodies she had ever seen or felt.
"That sounds great, but you sure you don't wanna change or anything first?"
Brandy took the time to look down at her dress. It was a little damp, but only around the ruffles and her shoulders. It looked presentable enough, especially if they were tucked away in a booth somewhere.
"Nah, it's not necessary"
She reached back with her hand so that he could grab onto it. A pleasant feeling, to walk hand in hand back to the truck. They matched each other pace, until something up ahead - close to the truck - had made Brandy slow down.
She had pulled away from Sam, putting her hand against his chest as she leaned forward to squint her eyes toward a tree barely looming in the distance.
Was she seeing what she thought she was seeing?
"Holy sh!t Sam, come look at this! Can you see that??!"
She didn't recognize the guy, but from her distance it looked like he was stark naked, with his body kind of .. cradling the trunk of a tree - with his pen!s.. inside of the tree? She rubbed her eyes, trying to look harder without actually having to step any closer...
"Oh my god Sam, I think that guy is trying to screw that tree! Scratch that, I think he is screwing that tree!"
