She had managed to pull out the scrap piece of paper underneath the debris. "This." She said, getting up with ease and showing it to him. "There's also something else but I can't get it out." She looked back down towards the place she'd gotten the paper out. "Even with my Vampire strength or whatever you wanna call it."

Jason held the greasy paper between his fingers. "This is disgusting...although not as gross as when one of the guys I knew from the FOTS came in the room and blew his self up and I was covered in it...." He shook his head. "Yeah that was worse..."
Jason did not really think there was anything that the vampire couldn't lift but if she said that she couldn't well he would have to take her word. As he unfolded the piece of paper he noticed something funny written on it. Like it was in a different language. "Um, Jess, I don't know what this is but I am pretty sure one of my pals didn't write this."
As he studied it closer he had the sneaky suspicion that it was a map of sorts. "Hey Jess, does this look like a map to you?"

Jessica's eyebrows furrowed in disgust. "Ew, really? That's just gross." She said and gave up trying to pull out whatever it was she saw. She looked at the note for the first time closely, it certainly did not look like a male human's handwriting. In fact, it didn't look like a human wrote it at all. "I see what you mean." She said, her eyebrows raising. She looked at it more closely. "It...sorta does, I think. Jesus, how long has it been here?" That was a rhetorical question but she hoped Jason would have some sort of answer.

"Well the only people who would really know for sure are dead..." Jason began to rack his brain. The only person he could think to go to was Bill, he was pretty old and knew lots of stuff but he had been busy as of late according to Sookie and he didn't want to bother him. "Hey Jess, do you know any vampires that are older than Bill? I know he has been gone a lot and this just seems like too good an opportunity to waste."
Maybe they would get lucky and this would lead to treasure. Jason chuckled. His odds at winning anything weren't great so he decided to not get his hopes up.

"Oh, well that won't help." She said and leaned away from the greasy paper, showing her disgust for it. "I know one Vampire that is very old, way older then Bill." She said and looked up at the sky, it was still dark. In fact, it looked darker then usual, maybe even normal. She turned back towards Jason. "You willing to drive to Shreveport?" She asked. Surprisingly, she was not thinking of Eric but of Pam.

"Sure, I am always up for a trip to Shreveport. Do you think that they will be helpful? I don't wanna get there and then have to worry that it will be all a wash. Vampires aren't usually known for their kindness Jess."
Jessica was the exception to the rule, all the other vamps were scary and mean. They would eat him and not think twice about it.

"Alright, I think I know someone who might know what that means." She nodded towards the piece of paper. "If not, then we're on our own. Hmm, she'll be helpful towards me..." Jessica trailed off for a second, wondering if Pam would be helpful. "...Well actually, she might be helpful. If she's not, then we're on our own again. I know we aren't exactly known for our kindness and stuff but hey, look at me." She laughed loudly and wiped off her hands. "Ready to leave this dump?" She asked.

"Heck yes, this place creeps me out." He offered her a hand up because that is what gentlemen do.
"I know how to get to Shreveport but other than that you are gonna have to lead me to where we are going. I have only been to Shreveport a few times."

"Me too." She said, taking his hand and getting up. "I think I know where we're going. So, no worries." She said, dusting herself off and glancing over towards his truck. "That seems so far away." She complained jokingly.

Jason was excited now. This map was old and even if it led to nothing it might be actually worth something in and of itself.
As they headed down the road to Shreveport Jason tried to make some small talk. "I know this may sound weird but you know what I think tastes amazing? Fried pickles...they are delicious! I don't think enough people have had the fried pickle experience. What about you? What is something that you think people should try?"
He smiled at her. "It don't have to be somethin' to eat, it can be anything?"

Something inside Jessica sparked or exploded when they touched hands and it momentarily led her straight into a daze. Snapping out of it, she laughed hoping to signify she was following their conversation all along. "Fried pickles? What do they taste like?" She asked curiously. She had never had one before and now it was too late. "Hmm, I think people should try to do something they never thought they'd ever do." She said, returning the smile and slightly ignoring the returning spark inside her chest. "You know?"

They continued down the highway and Jason took the turn to Shreveport. Soon they would arrive and he still had no clue where they were going. "Hey Jess, where exactly will we be headed to?" He snorted. "Lemme guess, Fangtasia!! Man all the vamps end up being there but surely not this one, wait, it isn't Eric is it? Please god, don't tell me it is Eric..." He said that last bit to himself even though he knew she heard him. Jason heard the comment she made. "Yeah I know but like what? I think that everyone should play horse shoes at least one time in their life just so they can know that old saying that involves horseshoes and hand granades. What would you think I should try?"

Keeping her cool, Jessica gripped the seat as they drove. She'd sort out her new "feelings" later. "Yep! We have a winner!" She laughed and gripped the seat tighter. "No, it's not Eric. Don't worry." She said reassuringly and then put on a bright smile, sneakily licking her lips. As he spoke, she was already forming her reply. "Me? Well, I think you should try something you never ever thought you'd do like..." She trailed off, trying to find an example and biting her lip. "Oh, I know. Drinking a Vampire's blood." She smiled coyly with a hint of innocence.

Jason nearly swerved off the road. Was she serious? Or was Eric trying to play a joke on her. He decided to go with the save his neck response. "Listen Jess, I already told Eric that I would never touch V again an I make good on my promises. I got my sis to think about and making sure that I am around for the rest of her life ya know?"
He shook his head. "Besides, that stuff can make you crazy. See things that aren't there, do things you never wanted to do, made me a whole other person that I never wanted to be." He looked right at her. "I will never have V ever again."

Her eyes widened and if she could blush, she'd be blushing bright red right now. "Oh really? You've done V?" She didn't know this was a grave offense Vampires nor did she know what V did to people. "I know but maybe I shouldn't have put it like that. How about date a Vampire?" It was out in the open and she could only hope his answer would be positive.
Sympathy rolled into Jessica's eyes and she was silent for a few minutes. She could see that Jason was sensitive about the subject and wouldn't pry any further. Turning towards him, she gave an awkward smile and then turned back towards the road. "Here." She said finally. "Turn right."
