"Being a Vampire can sure be boring sometimes." Jessica murmured to herself as she once again walked out of Bill's home. She had a iPod touch in her hand, a gift she had glamored some poor lowly human into giving her, and a bottle of Tru Blood in the other. "Well, at least I have some music. This person sure likes 'The Morning Of.' Who names their band 'The Morning Of?'" Jessica said to herself again as she sub-consciously walked towards the Graveyard that separated Bill and his human, Sookie's houses. Jessica stopped in front of the entrance to look more closely at the person's music tastes. She scrolled through the songs, only to find there were about 35. "Wow," Jessica said again, "Either this person does not like much music or they delete their songs once they don't like them anymore."
She sat down with her back against the fence and put the Tru Blood down next to her. She put her knees up and held the iPod carefully in her hands. "Hmmm, 'A Day to Remember?' Interesting name." Jessica flicked her finger and soon reached the bottom of the song list. A song title had caught her eye earlier, "Violins and Trees" it was called and it was no doubt by 'The Morning Of.' Jessica touched the song name and the album cover appeared with a rewind button, pause button, play button and fast forward. The song began to play a peaceful tune and Jessica rested her head against the fence, closed her eyes and listened to the song.

Why Jason ever agreed to come out to the scariest place in Bon Temps he would never understand. He knew it was a scavenger hunt and he knew all he had to do was take a picture of the tombstone but it didn't matter. No matter how brave he was or how handy he was in a fight, grave yards scared the piss out of him.
Not to mention that his former best friend tried to kill his sister about twenty yards from where he was standing. "Calm down Jason, there ain't nothing out here but the wind...and some critters...and a really scary vampire who is dating your sister...aw hell, I am talking out loud to myself."
Jason held out his flash light to lead his path when it started to flicker. "No, no, no come on you stupid, cheap piece of sh*t..." with that last insult the battery died. Jason looked out into the darkness. The only thing he could think was "Fxck". It took a minute for his eyes to adjust to the swift darkness and while they did he spent a minute groping blind. He should have been paying more attention to the ground because just as fate would have it, an unruly root shoved its way up through the ground and caused him to trip.
Jason lost his balance (he wasn't that coordinated to begin with) and began falling/rolling down the hill. He landed smack up against a fence and his head hurt like a mother...after a few explicatives, he reached out to grab something to help him self up. Jason definitely had not expected to find a leg.

Jessica had sensed movement just as the song ended. She clicked the pause button and listened. Apparently, the person's name was Jason. Jason? As in Sookie's brother? Jessica thought to herself as she listened to him more. She remembered Sookie mentioning she had a brother named Jason at one point. He definitely liked to swear, she noticed. "Ha, that makes two of us." Jessica murmured to herself then laughed quietly. She saw a flicker of life then felt a body fall a few feet away from her, then felt a hand on her leg. This caught her off guard and she screamed, something a Vampire would normally probably not do. She felt her fangs extract at once for defense as her eyes outlined the figure laying next to her.

When the scream pierced the air, Jason nearly pissed himself. "What the f*ck lady?? What the f*ck!! Stop screaming!" He scrambled off of the grass. As Jason tried to cover the girl's mouth to stop the screams a sharp point nicked his hand. "Sh*t! What the hell was that??" He stuck his finger in his mouth and tried to stop the bleeding. "Mam' please, I don't have a light, I am not trying to hurt you. I just wanna get the f*ck out of this cemetery and go home!"

Jessica stopped screaming at once. She briskly put the iPod touch into her skirt pocket and stood up. "Sorry, sorry. You just startled me, that's all." She apologized and clarified. "Umm, it was my...fang" She said hesitantly, jumping to his next question. Her eyes, automatically adjusted to the darkness, fell on his face and she found herself studying it. As she looked at it, Jessica abruptly realized that this guy's face, apart from being cute, was similar to Sookie's. "Wait a minute, are you related to Sookie Stackhouse?" She asked and then without waiting for an answer, said, "Please say you are cause otherwise we might have a slight problem."

Jason couldn't really make out a whole lot in the dark but when the moon shown on her fangs he was able to make out things a lot easier. "Holy sh*t...I mean you would think I could get used to this after everything but no, still gets me."
Jason took a few steps back and stopped when he heard his sisters name. "Sookie? How do you know Sookie?" Jason could see the vampire meant business and his senses were screaming at him to run. "Yeah, she is my sister. Why? What do you want with her?"

Jessica raised her red eyebrows but gave a kind smile, feeling her fangs retract in the process. "You've met other Vampires?" She asked then thought about this, if he knew Sookie then he probably knew Bill. "Alright stupid question, you probably have." She could feel his urge to run and decided now would be the time to reassure him she was not going to bite him or harm him in anyway. "Oh you are? Ha, what a small world!" She laughed. "Oh, I don't want anything with her, I was just wondering because I've known her for...a while now and you guys have very similar faces, well obviously since you're related and all." She had a feeling Sookie's brother did not know about her and she wondered whether or not to keep it that way.

Jason relaxed a bit. His sister had never been this popular ever! Jason was finally getting used to the dark and he wasn't nearly as freaked out as before. The scariest thing that could be out there was talking right to his face.
"I am sorry for scaring you, I am all left feet you know. Can I ask you a question? I know you are a vampire and everything but why a grave yard? I am pretty sure this is the last place I would be, even if I was immortal." Like right about now he would love to be at Merlotte's with a nice cold beer talking to some pretty girl. "Some times I get tricked into doing some of the dumbest sh*t."

Jessica laughed. He was funny and she liked guys who were funny. "It's okay, don't worry about it." She said and contemplated for a second before speaking again. "To tell the truth, I have no idea. I mean, it's close to...where I live and since there's nothing else to do, I thought I'd come out here and listen to some music. But don't worry, you weren't interrupting me or anything." She liked this guy, he seemed nice and she didn't want their conversation to end just yet.

Jason put his hands in his pockets and leaned back against the fence. "Man, I can't believe my dumb flash light broke. I am in the middle of this grave yard and now I am not sure if I even know where the thing is I am looking for..." Jason suddenly had a great idea. "Sh*t, you ain't busy right? You wanna help me out? See after the big football game everybody thought it would be a good idea to play a game of scavenger hunt...I know it seems lame but we pretty much have no life. I gotta find a tomb stone but since you can see in the dark right? You wanna help? It might not seem like that exciting because you are like an awesome vampire but hey you might enjoy your self if you are bored..."
Now that he was thinking Jason was sure he could win this thing with this girls help. "Shoo, I am sorry, I must seem like a real tool. What is your name? I didn't catch it."

Jessica smiled again at his compliment, she never thought of herself as an "Awesome Vampire" just a Vampire. "My name is Jessica, what's yours?" She asked and thought about it for a second. Find some tombstone with a really cute guy I just met or continue to listen to music? I pick the first one, after all he is Sookie's brother so we have a mutual friend, I guess. She thought and nodded, but then spoke. "Sure, I'll help you but what's in it for me?" She asked, half joking and half serious. "Oh, who are we looking for anyway?" She asked again, picking up the flashlight and examining it.

"I don't know who exactly it is we are looking for but he has one of the only mosuleums in the whole grave yard. Plus his name idn't French so that will narrow it down some. I figured we'd just take pictures of all the non Frenches until they said That's it!"
He smiled and wondered if she could see it in the dark. She probably could so he hoped he was giving it all he got. "What do you get? Hmm, let's see, well the winner got to be waited on at Merlotte's and everyone else had to buy the winner all he or she could drink until they passed out..." Jason snorted because he was pretty sure the vampire could drink even him under the table. "Why was there something you wanted?"

Jessica nodded, then remembered that he was human and even if his eyes had adjusted he probably was unable to see her had movement. "Sure, that sounds good. Do you want me to do the name reading and you do the picture taking?" She suggested, pocketing the flashlight so she could return it to him once they were finished. "That way, we can decide whether or not he, or she, is french or not and yeah, do what we have to do." She laughed again then shook her head, once again remembering he probably could not see her movements. I will have to get used to this very soon. She thought to herself. "No, there wasn't anything I wanted, I was kidding." She said then turned towards the graveyard.

"Sh*t yeah! Lets go!" Jason started off towards the hill where he fell down from. "Hey Jess, you know what? I think this is the first time I have ever hung out with a vampire...you know what, it ain't bad!"
Jason held his hands out for balance and finally got up the hill without another incident. "I think we need to be headed that way...once we get past the huge broken down stone gate I know we need to head left..."
He started forward and looked to see if she was behind him, vampires were pretty silent, probably helped with the killing. Jason gulped. "So Jessica, tell me a little about yourself. How is it being a vampire?"

"You're quite the complimenter, aren't you?" She giggled and followed him towards the hill, using her Vampire speed to catch up with him. ",We don't bite unless we're provoked or something. I've only once, no wait twice, turned on a human but it was for complete necessary reasons." She informed him, going up the hill with ease. "Oh, you lead the way and I'll follow." She said again but then saw his throat move as he gulped. She kept her cool and her fangs retracted, then contemplated for a few minutes. "Well, I was turned against my own will and have no family, I'm an orphan vampire you could say. Since we cannot enter a mortal's home unless invited in, I've only once been to see my old family, but it ended in a disaster and I think they're gone now." She had a feeling Jason thought she was gonna cry about this but she remained perfectly calm. "Being a Vampire is amazing, if you ask me. I, personally, am able to do things I wasn't able to do as a human. We have great senses and are very fast - we can outrun any human." She explained and was now walking right beside him.
