Jessica had calmed down by now and was relieved her fangs were back in their place. She felt Jason's annoyance and gave a very small un-noticeable smile. But then her attention focused when Jason bent his head towards her. She knew full well Pam could hear him even if he did whisper in his head. Thus, she let her hand drop to her side. She didn't relish discussing this sort of thing in front of Pam.
"Maybe..." she said mysteriously. "If Bill can accept Hoyt," she snarled slightly when she said his name, "he can accept you. You're Sookie's brother and has every right to like you because you're so protective of her." For the first time, Jessica "felt" smart. God dammit, why'd it have to come when I'm d**n dead? She wondered and slumped her shoulders. "You're not taking advantage of me and I'll make sure Bill knows that." She said and smiled at him.
Jessica turned back towards Pam once she realized Pam was talking and kept the smile on her face. "We insist." She said and looked over Pam's shoulder towards the bar. She saw loads of fangbangers watching their conversation with curious eyes. She stared them down and then looked back over towards Pam. "Sure, I guess." She looked over at Jason. "What do you think?"

"Yeah, I really want to wait inside. No offense Pam but I didn't drive all the way to Shreveport just to let you take the note, blow me off and get to it when you feel like it or whatever the situation is in your mind. Me and Jess will be at the bar if you don't have nothing here for us to help you with."
He heard what Jessica had said regarding Hoyt. "Sh*t, I didn't even know you were together. Stupid a** fellowship. I can't believe I thought all that bull sh*t was helpful. They took away part of my life that I can't ever get back for all that hateful nonsense." Jason couldn't believe that he didn't know everything that was going on in his best friend's life. It really p*ssed him off.

Jessica smirked slightly at Jason's rant to Pam. It was the truth, after all. So, he tells it like it is. Her smirk grew bigger and she had to bite her lip to keep from laughing. She took his hand again, in a leading gesture, but still felt her fingers lock with his.
"What? What fellowship? Well, we were together, Jayce. We aren't anymore..." The topic was still sensitive for her and the blood tears welled up in her eyes before she could stop them. "Sh.it, I'm sorry. I don't want you to see me like this. You must think I'm a bawl baby or something." She wiped the red from her face and sniffled.

"You know, the Fellowship of the Sun? The crazy a**holes that want to get rid of every vampire on Earth. They think vamps is evil and no offense but a lot of them are." He followed her into the bar.
He pulled out the handkerchief from his back pocket and handed it to the red headed vampire. "Don't cry Jess. I know breaking up with Hoyt must of been hard. He is a great guy and my best friend. Why don't we just get to know each other better before anything gets outta hand."

Jessica merely shrugged her shoulders. If there really were evil vampires out there, then she'd simply have nothing to do with them. Besides, what they did was their own business. "Oh, I know. Bill is one of them." She giggled, hoping Jason didn't take it the wrong way.
She took the handkerchief and wiped her bleeding eyes. "Thanks." She managed to say through her sniffs. "It was. I mean, it was because I was drinking his fri-mother's blood while she was totally bat-sh.it. He got mad and left with her. ... I haven't seen him since." Jessica didn't feel the need to mention the finding flowers on Bill's doorstep. They were no doubt from Hoyt because who else would they be for? Bill? Certainly not. She nodded at his suggestion. "Okay, that sounds good. Why don't you tell me about yourself?"

He could tell she was starting to dry up so that made him feel a lot better. Then she asked the typical girl thing. He said he wanted to get to know her better and she was wanting a biography on the spot. That made everything that he could have wanted to say fly out of his brain.
Jason chuckled. "I don't know what to tell you. Honestly there really ain't a whole lot to me. I like sports, beer and women. My sister is the only family I got left so that one is easy. I work hard every day on the road crew. I lived every day of my life in boring Bon Temps and ever since Bill Compton showed up, nothing has been boring for long. You know, for awhile I prayed for a reason to leave. Now, Bon Temps is the place to be. I couldn't imagine living any where else."
He took a seat at the bar and flagged the bar tender. "I could really use a Budweiser please. Jessica, you want a True Blood or anything?"

She took a seat next to him as she listened to his story. "Wow, that's really deep." She smiled and then looked towards the bar. She spaced out for a few moments until she realized Jason was talking again. "What? Oh, yeah. B positive, please and thank you." She smiled again. "Is it my turn to tell you about me?"

Jason smiled. "If that floats your boat, sure go ahead. Got nothin' but time til Pam gets here. What would you like to tell me?"

Jessica thought for a moment before she spoke again. "Well, let's see." She was careful with her words, not really wanting to explain her whole life story to Jason, at least not yet. "I used to the play the clarinet, for all hours of the day. I would literally play it until my fingers hurt from wrapping them around the instrument. It really sucked. I was also home-schooled because my parents were too neurotic. Like, my dad thought I'd go off with guys and not get an education and my mom was too scared to argue. He was such a di.ckhead." She felt her fangs extract at the memory of her dad and how mean he was. "Sh.it, I hate these things. Sorry Jason." She said, once she came out of her reverie.

Jason listened to her story. "Yeah, your dad sounds like a real sh*t. I know I'd kick his a$$. That's really interesting about your musical talent. I'd like to hear you play but I don't know how easy it would be with those things." He pointed at her fangs that had extracted. "It's cool Red. I know it's a vamp thing. You ain't gotta worry about me. I don't scare that easy."
He began drumming his fingers impatiently against the bar. Pam wouldn't be off for another hour and he was getting antsy. A quick tempo song began to play and he got an idea. "Hey, you maybe wanna dance to kill some time? I am getting a little impatient just sitting around doing nothing."

Jessica had to smile at him. "I'd honestly love to see that." She said sincerely. "But, Bill beat you. He was disgusting though. I know you'd be more. . .cleaner, for lack of better word." If she had the ability to blush, her face would be beat red by now. "Maybe we could raid a music store and I could play for you." She teased.
"I haven't got a clarinet now and I'm not sure where to find one. I think my parents might've gotten the one I used in my human days at some store in Shreveport." She explained and watched his finger point towards her fangs. "Red? That's a new one." She laughed. "I like it, very original. You know, Jason, you're the first person who's ever said that to me." She patted him on the arm.
Jessica leaned against the bar. "Dance? Sure but don't stake me if I suck." She realized what she said than burst out laughing. "No pun intended." She briskly added, hopping off her stool. "This way, sire." She joked, extending her hand for Jason to take.

He hopped off his barstool. "Trust me, I am two left feet but its fun to share your short comings with people who understand you." He chuckled. "I am dying to see you dance. If you look half as funny as I do we will make quite the pair here amongst the elitist vampire club."

Jessica contemplated what he said. "Wow, I have never thought of it that way. Good point." She gave him major kudos for having such a good outlook. "Oh, you're dying to see me dance? Then I'll dance." She took his hands and led him to the dance floor, joining many other Vampire/human pairs. Some eyes lingered to Jason and took in his handsome features but Jessica made sure that they got that he was with her. She swayed her hips from side to side and threw her hands in the air like she just didn't care. Her motions increased at Vampire speed as she became more and more excited.
